I knew Meta was a hard match-up for Olimar, but I think I did well there. Wolf I have no idea how to properly approach.

You're the first person to really edgehog me, so I finally got some experience there. Way way too many times did I have a Forward B come out as an UP B. Maybe it's the classic controller.

Lots of fun though. Hope I didn't bore you too much.

Nah. You had a hard time approaching wolf, I couldn't get close to Olimar with Ike. I learned a bit more as that fight went on, but I don't think I'll be facing Olimar as Ike very often.

I did learn a new way to approach in general with MK, so I'm happy there.
I was getting the timing better on countering your gliding in with Meta, but damn if the lag makes that hard.
Just an FYI, if there was no lag, you wouldn't be able to counter the glide approach. It gives me zero lag on moves after landing if I time it right, so I'd be punishing the shit out of you while you tried to counter.
Olimar's Up Smash can still nail you while in the air. It's situational, but it can be done (particularly with a yellow).

But if you land, I definitely can't do shit.

Well, I'm pretty good at timing the thing, and it comes out pretty much instantly, and if you're shielding it'll give you hitstun while I land free as a bird. Unless your upsmash comes out faster, which is crazy talk.

I will not argue about your timing. Of all the times you did it, I managed the Up Smash once.

Now, the Up Tilt...I dunno. It has damn good priority, but I don't use Olimar's tilts enough to know for sure. Not much faster than the Up Smash, though.

    God damnit I hate Olimar.

I actually like most characters in this game. Olimar, however, is one that I absolutely can't stand. Every Olimar I've fought (online and local) has spammed Pikmin throw like constantly - a move which is stupidly overpowered if not only because you really can't stop yourself from taking damage (plus it effectively negates almost all projectiles). Versus Olimar rounds thus always turn into fast paced wars of attrition which, frankly, I abhor. I like technical battles, not "who can build damage the fastest and then pull off a lucky smash" battles.

Other characters I hate: Sonic (intolerable stalling ability), Metaknight (incredible priority on certain moves, disjointed hitbox [that surrounds him entirely at times...], neutral B spam), and Wario (I just don't like Wario, plus I hate his "Goooo!" yelp upon Bike summon [and I hate that Bike in general]).

Most everyone beyond that I'm cool with though. Even campy punks like Link/Tlink and Falco.

I love Kirby's Pikmin throw...that goes right up there with Falcon Punch, Laser Beam, and squatting and squeaking repeatedly as moves that I enjoy spamming with Kirby.

I like that it makes the Pikmin die. At first I thought it was so sad when they turned into those sad little ghosts upon KOing Olimar but now...now it's extremely satisfying. Those multicolored bastards.

Pikmin throw does very low damage unless it's a white. Don't get incredibly hung up on avoiding them: if he throws them all, he's defenseless.

Metaknight doesn't seem incredibly hard to beat, but you're the first really good Metaknight player I've seen. I really need more practice, but all I've heard is that he counters Olimar hard. And I really don't think that is the case, though he's no slouch.

A good metaknight player is a very, very, very annoying person to play against.

Unless I'm Ike. Ike makes Metaknight cry and die at around 60% if he screws up.

Obviously there's more to being really good with him than this, but if you make sure to have the maximum amount of Pikmin out as much as possible, side B until your opponent is at like 85%, then use smash attacks, you can be pretty effective with him easily

Oops Arde; I didn't have to GTG soon. I mistaunted. Meant to do the LOL taunt in response to the Ghammer suicide your Bowser inadvertantly ended the game with :)

Sorry if I annoyed you with the shine infinite. I hate that level so I figure it's acceptable to do every once in a while. You'll notice the second time I could have infinite'd I didn't (jumped away) - didn't want to seem like a dick. When I manage a Falco Laser Lock I do the same thing - do it once but no more. I know how annoying that crap can be, especially in lag (when teching and DI becomes very hard). I still lost that match though! Damn suicides, lol!

No clue, then. I had smash balls off as well. I only keep on bombs, crates, pills, mushrooms, star rods, bats, sabers, rolling suns, assist trophies, and pokeballs.

Ahh, actually, now that I think about it, even if you have items set to none, I think it still randomly chooses your item set then puts it on medium. MY friend and I couldn't figure out why smash balls kept appearing, as he had his items off and i dint have them in my set. He went in and switched the actual item off in the list, and they stopped appearing.
