I'm starting to get better at teching. Laser Lock IS very hard to get someone with, it's only possible to do someone who hits the ground after a fall and is in that tiny bounce afterward, I by habit always airdodge on my way towards the ground so I don't have to spend any time getting up, anyway. I have only laserlocked someone online once and I only did it for 6 shots (the number of shots before they do 1% each, if I recall)
I've only recently started edgehogging or really gone for low % kills via edgeguarding.
Good games Ldraw and other guy who I forgot the name of! I probably should have stuck with ROB, but that's kinda boring. Also, Wario-cide is speshal funtiem.
At risk of having this post lost in the shuffle of moving to the new thread (which I suppose will occur shortly):
Excellent games BlueD and Ultimanecat. I just wish the last game we fought (Ult) wasn't so annoyingly item (and stage) dependent. One of my PKT was interrupted by a falling Lip's Stick, lol. I think the three of us were very close in skill range which made the matches all the more exciting. I loved that final duel on Eldinn Ult. We stared each other down before jumping over the chasm - then you suicided with Zamus' dair! I was laughing so loudly at that one.
Yes, you have a very good ROB BlueD. I too often want to stick with one character over another as well (typically Lucas who I'd like to learn to play better) but I feel weird doing it when everyone always switches. Know that if you play me again you can feel free to stick with one guy for the duration if you want however! Maybe I'll do the same.'
e: By the way, the latency for me was fantastic. Barely any lag at all, especially during the latter matches. You two are definitely on my "preferred player" list.
I'm on AIM Cas-X; sorry I missed your IM. You seem to have logged off. I'll play in a bit - right now I'm working on a financial aid negotiation letter.

I need training for the Brawl tournament; it starts Sunday and I need to know how's my Pit (the character I've settled on for said tourney). I don't care about where you live; the lag for me is a total crapshoot. You could live next door and get disconnected, you could live in San Diego and work perfectly. Come at me with your main.

I have a new soccer blog The Minnow Tank. Reading it psychically kicks Sepp Blatter in the bean bag.

So is it just me, or does anyone else think that the online experience for Brawl is sort of inept.
Oh, don't get me wrong! I love the game, and its a blast to play in multi player. But couldnt they have done a... I don't know a server queue or something? Why do i need to have someone's friend code in order to have "Lag free" multiplayer?
It essentially means that i have to run back and forth from my computer room to my room, arranging BC's and getting them to coincide with one another. By the time im done, im just pretty much too exhausted to want to play.

There are a great many things wrong with Brawl's online "experience." I think I've mentioned most of them in previous posts though, and I don't feel like being a whiner right now. So I'll just say "yes, it is inept."
Fortunately my computer and my television are about ten feet apart, so I don't get hit too hard by their horrible online system. If I hold a wavebird, I can effectively use both simutaniously! (But I don't use the Wavebird much... I've heard it increases online lag. Is that true?)
Anyone else trying to get trophies out of the bosses?
I started with Petey Piranha last night. Easy, right?
It took me eight goddamn tries.
I was using Pit with a Big Boss sticker (increases trophy stand drops) on normal. Each time, I whittled Petey's health down enough to where he'd be trophy'd if I chucked the stand at him, then waited for it to drop.
And each time, a Bob-omb or explosive crate would spawn, and the big doofus would smack it before I could get it out of his way. Dead Petey. I had to play through the entire (thankfully short) level again.
I finally got the trophy, but DAMN. Is there something I can do to speed the process up on the rest?
The best you can do that I know of is to power up your characters with a Trophy stand drop sticker and any others that would be helpful, probably the flinch resistance ones. Also I think Stands drop more often on higher levels of difficulty.
To SSBB's credit, I'm sure its shoddy online experience is more Nintendo's fault than Sora's (or HAL or whoever is responsible for the game). You can only do so much with what you're given.

I don't think anyone's giving shit the brawl developers.
I guess the concern is: will the Wii have any games with a non-hamfisted and low latency online experience?
strikers was pretty good with the amount of lag. At least you could see a rating of the connection (however that was determined) before accepting a match. However, it is noticable but much less of a problem in that game then a precision game like a fighter.
Nice mathes Frosteey, but you have a major weakness I saw in some of the matches. Your rolls are predictable sometimes, and it sets yourself up for a smash. I would have got you plenty of times with the Yoshi and Marth match, but Yoshi's Foward smash has horrible range.
Still having trouble with Sonic. Seems like he really shines in his ability to grab items far off and away, his ability to use his up-smash with forward momentum from a run, and the crowed control with his down-smash. Other than that, what would you say makes sonic really stand out as a GOOD character.
I'm trying to get a hang for short hopping and using his back-a kick or forward-a twist barrel roll thing and thats a new technique that could prove to be pretty awesome.
Still, for me his short comings seem to be the inibility to launch someone upward effectively. Shadow Moses continues to be the bain of my existence.

Utilt will launch pretty well if you hit with both feet, as will up-air.. His recovery is also fantastic (you can attack out of special up, which is nice). His neutral special is pretty nice, I find, although a little obvious for 1v1.

Today's Dojo update was actually very interesting. I hadn't noticed that Hannenbow had its own icon (I'd assumed it would use the DS one), and I hadn't noticed that you couldn't use My Music with it.

Edit: What the hell, it's not there now.

edit: wait a second, he posted that a half hour ago.
anyone else want to play?
Frankly I'm a bit surprised he's played lagless matches with anyone at all.

Added you and put a game up.
It's taking awhile for it to register you.
yeah says awaiting reg here too, just double checked to make sure I had code right.
Think my brother is downloading stuff, or messing around with the router, I'll have to brawl you a little later.
relevant and hysterical.

His color is the best thing I've found about him. Also his taunt is a genuine taunt, and good if you get the stopwatch item.
I think the one that slows you down spins backward and the one that slows down everyone isn't moving at all, I'd have to double check though.
