I can see why the picked most of the choices. They're going with the whole "Casuals love the DS!" thing, and most of those songs have been played over the radio plenty to be well known by the masses.
The small number of songs is what is really horrible.
Well dammit, I should say that I don't own GH3 either, but that's my mistake for missing that. I'm put off by all the stories of over-complex note charts and that kind of crap (boss battles and powerups too? OF COURSE!).
Basically I want it in Rock Band. Ignore me!
Yeah, I don't understand this move. IF they're putting in pop rock because they have this idea that the DS is geared towards a broader, more casual audience, then they're full of shit, because Guitar Hero is already extremely popular with the massive casual audience, and it did so by having awesome rock music, not fucking Smash Mouth.
My second problem with this is that several songs are being rehashed from GH3. Songs I've already played to death and achieved five stars on, etc etc.
The only thing that remains to be seen is what the remaining 10 or 11 songs are; if there are going to be more. I'm not coughing up $50 for 15 songs. Especially the likes of those.

Honestly, for Rock Band I'd rather have Positive Tension than Helicopter, but that's just me. You can actually make out the words in that one.

I dunno, maybe the list has more "casual" appeal, but the previous Guitar Heroes sucked up the casuals just fine.

Turns out the devil is a horrible muscian, and hilarity ensues.
The best part though was when the devil exclaims:

This game is going to suck.
Then I watched that video and saw him having to do the stupid blow-on-the-mic gimmick and I thought, "wow I'm not buying that, that's really dumb."
And then I saw the tracklist and I thought, "I shall not purchase this product for it does not provoke an interest to purchase within me."
So basically I agree with the posts above which state this game is going to suck.
