Endless Ocean/DS game help

Anyone played it? I've been looking at buying it myself. I checked out the review at Gametrailers, and they gave it something like a 7.4. Which is odd, because their review doesn't really seriously knock it for anyone. If I realize what Im getting into (a diving simulation), is it any fun? Also, I've only seem them mention dolphins as diving companions, but could of sworn I heard earlier there were more. Anyone know? Thanks.

EDIT: So, my buddies chipped in and got me a 50 dollar gamestop card as an early bday present. Endless Ocean, due to my interest and my fiancee's, now seems like a definite buy. I plan to put the leftover money towards a ds game. Currently I am trying to decide between Phantom Hourglass and Days of Ruin.

If it helps at all, I currently own Pokemon Pearl and Professor Layton. I love both these games because I can play for five minutes, or five hours, and still get plenty of enjoyment. I am concerned about Zelda because it seems to require constant involvement. For instance, the first time I played Wind Waker, I ended up not being able to play for a week or so. When I tried to start again, I just felt lost and bored. Maybe thats just me.

Likewise, Advance Wars has me wondering too. I used to own Dual Strike, but stopped. This was mostly due to the fact that the CO swapping and battle ending CO powers just didnt sit with me well. I know these have been removed in Days of Ruin, but I am wondering if it still has enough to keep me interested. Any thoughts?

Are you a marine enthusiast? The game is very much a "relaxing experience" more than a game. It's not goal driven all that much, and there's no inherent "risk" for your character (you can't die or get hurt).

If you love aquatic life and love learning about it, then this will be a worthwhile experience. If you're looking for a fun game with an underwater theme, this will leave you wanting more.

I was really psyched about the concept, and then found the actual experience a big letdown. I don't care if graphics are outdated if they're well-executed, but this just feels ugly, which is a lot different than feeling old. It could have done a lot more with having more intricate environments, and better art would have made the fish more compelling. I don't think it's worth it until it's at $5 or $10.

it's alright. Not amazing, not terribly gripping. I'd recommend super mario galaxy before it. Or even Sims Castaway, that was pretty fun for being a little silly game

edito: been playing it on the wii, didn't notice the note that this was for a DS

If you like the graphics of windwaker, and the general gameplay of Zelda games. Phantom Hourglass is wonderful. Theres some very clever puzzles and a very enjoyable game. Id go with Zelda. The game makes excellent use of the unique hardware.

    Thats just my two rupee's.
