Computers DVD player region restrictions? [Solved]

Apparantly I can only play one sort of region at a time and have the choice to switch between the two only 5 times. I have a variety of american and Australian DVD's and this is very irritating. So is there anyway of fixing this?

Thanks a lot.

Go to newegg. Buy a second DVD drive, put one on one, the other on the other.

Alternatively buy a region free DVD player. I don't know if they PC DVD drives in that flavor though.

Here's a list of a couple of region free tools. Pretty sure the site hosts em too (if they are free) so you should be able to download from there.

Personally, I use DVD Region Killer. No specific reason or anything. It's just what my mate gave me years and years ago, so there is possibly a better solution. When I was working tech support at a school, I noticed a lot of kids had DVD43 on their notebooks, so that might be the way to go.

Thanks a lot for the list, Trentus, but I'm running Vista. Will this be a problem, DVD43 says it's only for XP and 2000... I mite try it anyway.

EDIT: I just went to its homepage and it does work with Vista. thanks again, I'll let you all know if it works!

Excellent, this works perfectly. For those of you searching the same problem just use DVD43. Thanks, Trentus and Tofystedeth!
