You can have the updater not update with externals but all it does is make the initial load of the game faster. Helps if you have a shitty computer, otherwise it makes more work.
And Erios 50k honor in a night? What?

Happy: I'm after getting into the guild that I applied to!
Bitching: I'm suffering from warlock burnout. He's T4 equipped and I do like going to raids and such, but ultimately I'm feeling pretty out of place a lot of the time. I think I pull my weight in 10 and 25-man content, but if I simply group up with friends for dailies and what-not, my slow method of squeezing the life out of enemies (I'm Affliction) pales in comparison to those with more direct damage abilities who kill things in less than 5 seconds. I'm also hating PvP with my warlock as every melee enemy out there sees me as a free kill. If there's more than one of them, it's quite true.
Happy: I'm half a level away from my 2nd 70. It's a hunter, which might at least be more fun in PvP if I can gear him up a bit, but he'll probably never get to raid. Mainly I figure he'll have an easier time farming dailies, and his leatherworking is coming along nicely. Unfortunatley, I don't see this character as a true replacement for my warlock as a main.
Hope: My Prot Pally is in Outlands now which might allow me to do something different if I can get up to raiding. Unfortunately this journey has already been and will likely continue to be painful. Yes, it's hysterical awesome good times when I tank 4-5 mobs my level when they're all melee-types, but throw just one or two casters in there, and everything goes to hell.

What? Warlocks, a free kill? If there's any class I find to be ridiculously annoying to fight against in PvP, it's a warlock. Oh, and Pallies. Fucking Pallies.
While I can understand the frustrations you must have, please recognize that you just said "if there's more than one of them", like any class should be able to easily hold its own against more than one player.
Oh, wait, I used to do that all the time on my warlock.
That said, I felt it was broken then too.
Unless you mean due to focus firing in the sense that in an X vs X engagement (read: arenas) you're easily focus fired down first.
In that case, you have my sympathy, but urge you to possibly consider it a point of pride that you/your class are so feared that the opposition are willing to go great lengths to try to get you. And then run screaming like a little girl while your people eat them alive.

Sure, but you get to just run and dot up every thing in sight and have them all drop dead before long.

I didn't really specify that yeah, I'm on an arena team. I didn't want it to turn into a page-long diatribe about my individual problems with different PvP types... but that would have been an important detail.
I'm in a 3v3 team with a couple guildies. Our team used to be Mage(frost)/Warrior/Warlock(me), but the Warrior got into some drama which ended up with him leaving the guild (and not play much apparently) so we replaced him with a rogue. It's pretty frustrating that every team with melee comes running straight at me to kill me quick, but I suppose there is some truth to the fact that the time they spend raping me usually lets my teammates kill their healer.
I'm not saying that I disagree with the premise that warlocks needed to be nerfed, but I think ultimately the reason they got nerfed (and thus the nature of the nerfs) was those S3-geared types who spec SL/SL and essentially become invincible. This leaves us lesser-geared, more casual players pretty much out in the cold.
I don't know how other people feel about arenas, but I personally see them as very not fun (due to cheaters and exploiters) but necessary to help gear me up. Thus I won't spec SL/SL just to play 10 games per week when I'd rather be specced something that's more appropriate for grinding and raiding.

I was asking in our private chat channel if anyone knew anyone who had the plans for Red Havok Boots when an officer from my new guild says "We have about five of them in the bank, I'll nab you one later. Want the pally ones too for dancing shoes?".
I find all warlock builds to be a serious pain in my ass. Two fears, one horror, the ability to gain life back at an alarming rate (SL/DL), and fear, and fear, and fear, and I'm not sure if I mentioned fear, and curse of weakness, and fear, and SL/DL and fear, and.... where was I? Yes, I still think Fear is the most broken ability in a game full of broken abilities.
EDITL: Keep in mind that I have only the resilience my S3 Waraxe gives me. It's not rare that I get Death Coiled and then feared, and finally get free of the fear at about 20% health. All while not being able to do a goddamn thing against the warlock.
I would like to have this mythical fear that people who still complain about warlocks seem to be constantly afflicted with. Any fear that I cast is immediately broken by racials or trinkets or class skills or tiny bits of damage done. Blah.
That was my subtle way of asking if you figured that shit out yet.
Anyway I should probably be on topic here.
Hate: I really don't feel like doing Hyjal/BT this week. I want to go throw myself at Kalecgos again (er, not like THAT). I've been having a serious case of the hardcores lately, and most of my guild is still and never will be like that. Oh well back to living vicariously through Junpei's victories.
We're going to disagree on everything ever aren't we?
Hunters are fine until he loses an arena match. In which case it is such bullshit that <class> can <something> when I have to like shoot my arrows and shit look at how many <class>'s there are in the top 10 ranked teams there are like a hundred how many hunters are there none well maybe one but that's an anomaly hunters can not possibly compete at arena ever it is not fair we can't do anything I have to arcane shot to dispel things I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO ARCANE SHOT look at <class> THEY DON'T HAVE TO ARCANE SHOT IT'S NOT FAIR.
He also likes to arena in the lobby, for some reason. So everyone can hear how horribly underpowered hunters are.
hope: Leo drops dead tonight.
happy: guild's really got some great mojo going right now.
grrrrr: Morogrim is a [email protected]#kin' wanker. (drop the dang druid chest pc. already)
Amused: on the WoWhinePlay boards, somebody created the regularly-scheduled post about having bought a piece of wool for 75g on the AH, calling it a scam, and being shocked that Blizzard permits it. Blue comes in and politely reminds them they hit a confirmation box and paying attention is the player's job.
This sort of thing has always amused me. Is it a scam when you hit the wrong button in combat? Is it a scam when you pull the wrong mob? I think the answer here is obvious. It's rather like legalized gambling, someone benefited from predicting you might be stupid.

i have always maintained that if someone gets scammed, it is their fault.
it was especially prevalent in Runescape when I played it..the limited graphics meant that if you were in a hurry you were often going to mistake items for one another. however there was a final confirmation screen that Jagex went to great lengths to make foolproof, so it was not possible to get scammed unless you were a) stupid or b) blind.

Dhalphir, your sig reminds me every time I see it of a heroic Slave Pens run I went on. We had a Prot Pally tank and a Holy Priest healer... a pretty decent setup, right?
Yeah, until they decided to duel each other before starting the instance.
Everyone had quit the party by the time they had finished.

My understanding is that the zip does, but the Ace Updater can be configured to not update it correctly.
Score one for exclusively using the zip!
And Erios 50k honor in a night? What?
I'm now a member of <Benevolence>, squee!
Your face is going to get stuck like that.
It'll make him remarkably popular on dates.
It works for Gene Simmons....
Why would you make fun of the freakishly large cheeks I was born with
Congrats!

Since they tend to be in all greens or PvE gear.
CRIT CRIT DEAD.

Not when he's affliction.

Edit: YOU CAN'T DO THAT WHILE STUNNED
On a team without a stun.
Or decent interrupt
And as a Troll Hunter.
That burns, burns me real deep.
Not as much as immolate though oh ho ho
I think you need to be abloo-blooing instead about hunters.
Apparently they're all broken-shmoken in pvp.
I just want a fear break
Edit: Warlock/Druid is still beatable by Hunter/Druid, so no complaints there. There just aren't enough Druids to go around.
Aha
Ahahahahahaha

He's already called me Creepy Uncle Jones.
Edit: Shit not figured out. Tomorrow will be the easier to shit out figure since I'm not trapped in school until raid time.
