The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
I know this forum is a long shot - but hell, you guys have come up with more ridiculous information in the past. I've been pouring through the episode guides for the law drama, 'The Practice' to find this particular episode I think I have only seen once or twice.
I'm pretty sure it's a two parter and it has Alan Shore (James Spader) prior to moving to the new law firm in Boston Legal. Alan Shore is trying to get his childhood friend off of a murder charge that was committed with his friend's hammer. The trial involves questioning their childhood friends and family, including Betty White as this eccentric old lady.
The final episode ends with Alan and his friend sitting in their old tree house drinking beers and Alan notices the secret place where they would hide comic books or whatever as kids. His friend looks at him, all haunted and creepy, and explains that Alan doesn't want to look underneath that floorboard (insinuating that the hammer is in there and that he was guilty all along).
Anyway, that closing scene always freaked me out and I'm trying to find what episode / season it's from.
Disclaimer- I don't think I've ever watched the show, this is all google and imdb.
I think you're looking for episode 159, called either "Going Home" or "Coming Home". It's one of the 3 that Betty White was on. The plot is "When his best friend from childhood is accused of murdering his mistress, Alan Shore returns home to defend him."
