What's triplea? only the best axis and allies simulator ever.

http://triplea.sourceforge.net/mywiki

triplea goes by the old rules, not the new revised edition stuff.

it looks pretty and all the rules are there, plus some variants if you're into that sort of thing. i haven't tried the connectivity with others yet, but i assume it, too, is stable.

don't have someone to play with? play the computer and brush up on your tank blitzing.

so who's got a few thousand hours to spare and likes war sims?

Looks like a lot of fun, but I have a tendency to suck royally at A&A, despite my love for the game.

I'd be up for a game sometime.

I've never played myself and have always been interested in learning. Does this teach the rules of the game?

it doesn't teach the rules, but they are built-in: the game tells you how far a unit can move and where you can move to, for example.

there's a PDF of the rules around somewhere, i will try to find it.
