well I'm pretty sure the only thing I've read with him in it was that one Green Lantern story and he was the bad guy in that so thats all I have to go on here
I haven't read much of either, actually. Most of the Flash stuff I've read has been in other books such as JLA, New Frontier, Identity Crisis, Infinite Crisis, and Justice.
The reason I say I prefer Barry is for the same reason I prefer Hal Jordan. I never cared for Kyle as GL. I don't hate Kyle, and I think he was fine as Ion and I think he's fine as an Honor Guard with Guy. But I never liked him when he was the GL of Earth.
And I will admit that I've never read Geoff Johns previous Flash run.
Wally was the Flash I grew up with. He's got a special place in my childhood. It's a damn shame about that Bart Flash fiasco. Talk about screwing up a good thing.
EDIT: I think that what made me a Wally fan is that he really grew up as the years went by. In a Universe where the status-quo never changes for many (hi Superman!) it was amazing.
Do you suffer from short term memory loss, SatanIsMyMotor?
Nono, I knew Wonder Woman was there - that's why I didn't mention her. I also knew Batman had been captured - it just seems weird that they haven't addressed it at all since then.
DC Universe #0
Final Crisis #1-2
Final Crisis: Requiem
Final Crisis: Rage of the Red Lanterns (takes place between FC #1 and #2, according to a line in the preview pages)
Final Crisis: Rogues' Revenge (takes place sometime during FC #1-3)
Final Crisis: Superman Beyond #1 (takes place somewhere in here, but I'm not quite sure...)
Final Crisis #3 (at the end of #3, Wally and Barry jump a month into the future)
DC Universe: Last Will and Testament
Final Crisis: Revelations #1-5 (I think this takes place during the one month gap based on a completely disconnected Montoya/Question appearance in FC #4)
Final Crisis: Submit
Final Crisis #4
Final Crisis: Resist
Final Crisis #5-6
Final Crisis: Superman Beyond #2 (based on DC's January solicitations)
Final Crisis #7
I'm not quite sure how to reconcile Superman's activities in Superman Beyond (which has the Monitor stopping time so Superman will leave Lois's side) and Legion of Three Worlds (where Superman goes off to the future for an unknown period of time). DC has said that Legion of Three Worlds will tie in to FC down the line, so I guess we'll just have to see how it plays out...

Well, we know that anti-matter shadow guys from the original Crisis are involved in Lo3W - they were attacking people in the DCU #0 issue. We know from solicits that FC is really being engineered by Darkzo the Dark Monitor (or some such).

You guys realize they're probably going to have Barry and Wally together right
They definitely are. Ethan Van Sciver said he got to design Wally's new costume.
Speaking of Wally's costume, what did Barry mean by "I see you went back to your old costume." ? Was he talking about Wally's original Kid Flash costume (which was just the red Flash costume), or did Wally have a different costume as The Flash for a while?

If they hadn't completely ruined his character once they changed him to Kid Flash (which, as has been posted previously, both Geoff Johns and Mark Waid didn't want to do)

i THINK he meant original Kid Flash costume. besides all of the time travel shenanigans, did the real After-Death Barry ever make an appearance between Crisis and now? If not, he would have last seen Wally in his Kid Flash yellows.
It's either that or he's talking about Wally's slightly darker red shiny Flash suit which was not much of a change.

I know when Wally met him during Johns' run, it was "running through time" Barry (so he was technically still alive), but I can't remember if he mentioned knowing that he's dead?

I disagree, he still had potential even after that.
He wasn't really Impulse anymore I agree but I still liked him in Johns' Teen Titans (another franchise that went into the shitter now that Johns is gone) and he could have been a good Flash if they hadnt gotten whatever that hack's name to write the book.
I mean what the hell was his pitch that they said yes. Because I cant imagine why anyone thought THE GRIFFEN was a good idea.
No, you don't understand. Griffen sounds like griffin, which is like a mythological creature. So his villain name was based on his real name! Don't you see?! Oh man, that's such a great idea. And not only that, Griffen Grey - or The Griffin - is a deeply conflicted character who struggles between heroism and deep-seated ambition. He's like a modern day Macbeth.
I just don't understand all the negative reviews, what with Danny Bilson and Paul Demeo's transcendent writing. Maybe if everyone could just look deeper; I mean, that arc was significant on a lot of levels.

man
the way Jones drew Darkseid this issue was perfect.
I just wish I knew or cared about Dan Turpin. Maybe the scene would have had more impact.
I don't know anything about Dan Turpin and it was still great.
maybe you just like bitching about things? you tend to do it a lot
Yes, I do bitch a lot. But that wasn't bitching. I liked the scene too, I don't know where you got the suggestion I didn't. I just wished I had more backstory on Turpin since he appears to be a pretty important character this event.
I'll see what I can do about that scan tonight, but no promises. Of course, someone else will probably do it just before I can because that's the Crimson Dude luck at work.
So I just got the issue. Man, things sure are dire.
I can't believe Mr Miracle just got shot in the chest. I guess he will probably be OK, since cheating Death is kind of his thing, but man the poor bastard.
I really wish there were spin-offs/side stories focussing on things like Super Young Team, Frankenstein, etc.
I believe that every time Wally and Barry have teamed up since the original Crisis it has been a time-travelling, pre-death Barry. If that's true, then the last time Barry saw Wally before he died, Wally was wearing the Kid Flash suit.
Though, now that I think of it, didn't dead Barry appear in Geoff Johns's Ignition story (Flash v.2 #197-200)? I remember Hal "Spectre" Jordan and Barry having an exchange where Barry asks Hal "So...When are YOU coming back?" and Hal says "I'm working on it..." This would have been right before Green Lantern: Rebirth.

Yeah, that's why I'm confused. Also, was it Barry or Hal that said Barry would show up on the three worst days of Wally's life?

Wally is the best Flash
but I just dont think Barry should be brought back

its just a shame the guy they got to write it was a total hack
and then when they brought Wally back they screwed that up too
It's incredible how fast that franchise went into the shitter once Johns moved on.

It's funny, Keith
I thought of you when he said that line
Wally, Barry and Jay all working together would be great

if you just take the Black Lighting/Geoforce/Deathstroke stuff it sort of works. ignore everything else
