I really need to learn to control my roll with imput lag :O
I dunno fy but we played fine before you (sans my double suiciding -_-)
I've found the input lag to be incredibly variable. Sometimes it's almost unnoticeable while other times it will be incredibly severe and crippling. It also seems to be independent from overall latency (which makes no sense) - I've suffered 2-3 second input lag in otherwise smooth games (with green ping!).
Its more of an issue of charge moves randomly letting go of the charge when you dont let go of the button. This really sucks for jiggs because I send myself off an edge cause I shot off rolling when I didnt intend to.
I am from Ohio. So "Midwest" - which is just a way to have both west coast and east coasters look down at us! My connection at home is LOADS better than my apartment connection, the week I was home for Spring Break had very little lag when we played together, it's like TWICE as bad when I am at my apartment. I had several lagless matches with nearby people while I was at home. Lousy college internet.
Are there tournament videos? I've gotta learn how people play.
Or should I say, play for money. I entered into a Brawl tournament in the LAN/ Lazer Tag shop, Hard Knocks in Orlando Florida. The winner gets a Wii. And it was 10 dollars to enter. Money does things to people
I normally use Pit, but I find he doesn't have a lot of offense. I'm probably going to play as Samus. Or if everybody is playing as Metaknight, I will play as Ike.
Be a campy jerk. Spam projectiles, force people to come at you in the air, power shield their hit and then shield grab them and throw them out, get a combo, and continue spamming or tech/techchase as is necessary. Guard the edge anytime you knock someone off the stage, if it's a walkoff stage bait them into cheap throw kills, etc.
AKA: be a jerk.
This is why I never play for money, and really try not to do any of these things in any kind of casual play.

Most common characters I have seen are metaknight, Ike, toon link, falco.

oh god i have to call it quits when an epic match ends in a DC

Yeah, which is why I hate using Falco. I don't want to be a bandwagon punk. Maybe I ought to go back to Dedede or something - I have no idea who to use. Damn the world! I guess I have to get good as one character first before I decide I have a choice between multiple characters, though.
So uh, what ports do I need to forward to get online working. I've had this thing connected since launch, I can browse the store and internet from my Wii just fine, I just can't play. I finally want to try online, but I can't find any help from google searches. Anyone?
Alright you've convinced me I will drive back to my apartment order a pizza and practice my Link all day, eesh. Give me an hour to drive back to school.

I know its OT, but meta I just realized what your live gamertag is, because I used that myself. -_-

If you want to see how people play, just play them. I guess there's spectator mode as well but that will only show you how people taunt.

I like that you mixed edge-guarding in with "cheap" moves, when you'd honestly have to be stupid not to do that.
And with everything else, those only work until everyone else gets good enough to counteract them.
The crown tells you that you've totally cleared the stage. You can tell this by looking at stages that are bossfights only. Just beating those stages is enough to get a crown.
Ok I found how to change all the settings and DMZ and static ip and all that and it works because I can Wii update, but I still can't play with anyone. Would someone here like to try and play a match real quick to see if it works?
I just finished doing All Star with every character (Normal difficulty). That was really, really boring.
I finished classic a couple of days ago. Bleh. The only reason for me to touch classic now is to clear it on intense.
I still need to do about 25 all-star runs. Pain in the ass.
I've done Classic , Home Run Contest, and all five Target Tests with every character.
Now just All-Star, Boss Battles, and 100-Man Brawl to go.
I hammered 100 man Brawl.
No fucking thanks.
Pikachu Spamming his DownB Lightning attack ftw.
Oh, 100 man Braw was fine on its own. I did it with Ike, twice, and beat the time challenges each time.
There's a challenge that says you have to beat it with every character. You have to beat 100 man Brawl 35 times.
No. Fucking. Thanks.
I hammered that one, too.
So far I've down completed Classic with everyone, All Star with everyone, Target Test (all of them) with everyone, Homerun Contest with everyone (though there's no real challenge for that - just the "over 45k meters total" thing).
I need to get 10 Cruel Brawl KOs and do all the Boss Rush shit.

Also, my apartment internet stinks.
EDIT: I really want to make a sig from this movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cToefy2-6uE&feature=related
I'm not sure if gif sigs are allowed, I would probably just make it two frames, but even that would be extremely annoying to [most] people.
yes get a better connection!

Hmm...that sentence was ironic, wasn't it?
Anyway, gimme a chance to add some codes here, just got this 2 days ago.

In SSE, how can you tell if a stage is 100% complete? Is it the flag or the flashing icon? I can't tell/remember.
Flashing Crown is 100%
In regards to the name in the list - I can't just delete it! My..my records!
