At first it seemed like it was just at random, then I noticed it always does it whenever I am either playing a game, running disk cleanup, or trying to install WoW. Also sometimes when Im listening to music, either streaming internet radio or from CD.
Then more recently, after I shut it down it will start making this noise: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKuZYoVzWGY
And the only way to stop it is to pull the plug.
I noticed the fan on my video card stopped working so I bought a new one and its still doing it. A buddy of mine suggested getting a new power supply, but I dont want to spend any more money until I have a better idea of whats going on.
Hm. I don't know of any parts that have a built in heat alarm, so you would have had to add it yourself. You sure you didn't add a case heat alarm, or that your case didn't come with one?
I just recently built my first computer and had a case heat alarm that went off at a way-too-low temperature. The first time it went off, I was playing STALKER and I thought my apartment was about to be bombed. It scared the crap out of me until I figured out what it was.

While I'm not familiar with the particular board he's using, a number of motherboards have temperature sensors on them that will tell you the temp of the CPU as well as the surrounding area. Often times they will play an alarm, at boot, if there is an over heating problem (I've heard of one even playing the Fur Elise).

Motherboard is an ABIT-NF7
And I think I just realized that the secon alarm is simply a slowed down version of the first.
