The league is no more due to inactivity of its members, so we're going to have clans now.

It won't start right away, we'll first have a list of people signing up and proposing clan names.

The members of every clan will face each other and present the results in the thread. If the results of the battle were heavily influenced by hax, or if hax ruined the whole strategy for one of the parties, the members can mention the details if they agree on it, and if that doesn't give away details of their battling strategies, or say it in a manner in which the strategy will not be revealed.

NOW SOME GENERAL BATTLING RULES. WITH CAPS

-Sleep Clause: you may not put more than one of your opponent's Pokemon to sleep at a time.
-Species Clause: your team must be comprised of six different species of Pokemon.
-Item Clause: No two Pokemon on your team may be holding the same item.
-Suicide Clause: If both players are down to their last Pokemon, the player with the first Pokemon to hit 0 HP is the loser. In other words, using moves like Self Destruct and Explosion cause you to lose, even if it kills your opponent. However, using a move with a recoil that kill both you and your opponent is a win for you.
-No Legendary Pokemon whatsoever.
-No Wobbuffet. You may ask "Wynaut?", but you should already know.

And now, some useless knowledge!

- Pokémon is a made-up composite word.
- None of the Pokémons' names change in Spanish translations from either continent, yet, they change in France, Italy and some others. Oh yeah, Latin America hasn't got the Spain Spanish translation since the RBY days, by the way.
- Ledian is based on Pulseman, which is a character from another game made by Game Freak, but it was released on the Genesis/Mega Drive.
- Pulseman's nemesis was the Galaxy Gang. Sound familiar?
- Garchomp is one tough motherfucker. Don't be an ass by mixing it with Tyranitar.
- If you evolve a Pokémon with a Japanese name on an American GBA cart, and that name was the default one, it will keep its name. But if you do that on DP, its name will be the evolution's. It won't change if it's an actual nickname, though.
- Infernape is based on Sun Wukong, a character from a very old Chinese Book called Journey to the West. Sun Wukong is pronounced Son Goku in Japanese, and he bore a staff while flying on a cloud.
- You can get new wallpapers for your boxes in Jubilife City's TV station. Details here.
- Pokémon Battle Revolution sucks, but its announcer sucks even more. Bring back the Stadium announcer!
- Pokémon battles through Wi-fi automatically level your Pokémon to either levels 50 or 100. So you don't have to train them to level 100 yourself, saving a lot of time.

Don't try this at home!

Situation 1: Snorlax gets Yawned by its opponent, and has both Chesto Berry and Rest in its arsenal.

What you shouldn't do: Don't use Rest, because after you've woken up from your Rest by the Chesto Berry, you'll fall asleep again because of the previous Yawn atempt.

Situtation 2: You have two guys who both have U-Turn, and one of them has a Choice Item.

What you shouldn't do: If you're going to U-Turn with the Poké that lacks the Choice item, at least don't send out the one that has the Choice item, because U-Turn will be locked to it, and you'll be forced to do it again.

Woo new thread! And Drifloon is to be feared. Anyone that says otherwise faces DEATH BY BLIMP. I do worry about the hax mention though. I did like the earlier idea of adding it as a trackable stat, just to see how ridiculous it'll likely wind up looking on my side. I get more hax here than anywhere else.

Assuming you can get more electrizers somewhere, Kuribo, I'd breed. Speed is not a good IV to ignore, regardless of how good the attack is.

I'm also not fond of item clause, but I can work around it. I would like to see it stop being one of the default options here though. One thing I miss from Shoddy (though things I don't miss include mid-battle leaving and having to deal with Wobbuffet and that one Deoxys on the 'official' server in OU battles).

For the clan thing, I can happily supply Pokemon, though I'm not overly fond of lending out my personal EV trained and named Pokes to people who could always, ah, 'lose' them.

I would be happy to participate in some clan, though the item clause could really cripple the team I made maby not :P. There really isnt much theme to my guys there are like 3 evee evolutions though. I dont know how to find my code number though. So yea lets get this going ^_^

EDIT: I guess I could make a clan if thats nessisary, P2W (play to win) would be the clans theme if that works?

With items like luck incense/bright powder, and leftovers/black sludge, why complain about item clause? Especially since there are tons of items you can use.

We will start with three clans for now. If more people decide to join, we'll found more of them. But having one-person clans is not my idea of a clan system.

We'll start with elemental, giant pokés, and the choice of the first person that decides to post a new serious clan.

All team members must carry Close Combat and/or Explosion for Blissey OHKOs.

I just don't think having more than one of the same item is really game breaking. I also feel more constriction on my team building process because I feel that every member has to correspond with a specific item. For example, my current team was not built with item clause in mind so a lot of characters just have random things thrown on them when leftovers, salac berry, and ect. would be more useful.

I don't really mind the idea of Item clause because it does invoke more strategy, I just don't think it should be a bog standard.

Also, I come from a time when he had Leftovers on every damn pokemon.

Edit: Having a ton of Focus Sashes could be a problem. That would make the metagame very Stealth Rock and Sandstorm centric.

Also, I think you mean Lax Incense, Luck Incense doesn't do anything.

That would be the best team ever.

There's plenty of gimmick teams based around abuse of sash. None of those teams really make it far though, as there's just too many decent walls out there to take those priority moves, plus the high amount of teams with sandstorm/hail/stealth rock/spikes/toxic spikes.

Now, facing a Shedinja when you don't have sandstorm, hail, or a handy toxic or Will o Wisp at hand, THAT is annoying.

edit-Swords Danced Extremespeed isn't scary to my Drifblim. Or my Spiritomb. You get the idea.

Not as much as you would think since most of them lack STAB. Smeargle is the only normal that can learn both, but A.) it wouldn't be very scary because he has poor Attack and B.) would be better off baton passing a Belly Drum.
