I do not have opposable wireless thumbs in my hometown. I mean not at my house anyway.
Looks like it'll be until Tuesday afternoon, when I'm back at my apartment, until you can trample my face in.
I'm considering giving up on breeding a Bold and Quirky Abra. I still have to catch Dittos of every nature with the Abras I have, let alone breed those last two. Bah.
Also losing interest in my clan idea. Someone pitch me theirs. I'm a good minion.
Edit: Team Industrial Machines or whatever it was has some types I like. Perhaps that.
And I shall see you then Stein. But I don't know about this clan thing, I guess I could start my own. And rule upon a throne of TMs. How does one start a clan?

Ah. Then I suppose you had a huge stock of TMs 1-50 prior to DP, then.
Good to know when I undoubtedly will require more Earthquakes in the future, for we never settle on any 6 Pokemon as permanent party members.
Bah, I came up with Clan Industrialism more as a foil to the whole 'earth first' thing. I suppose its strong enough to stand on its own, but most of the point of a clan thing is that not everyone ends up in the same clan. We need rivals to taunt and such!
Another reason for the steel/poison theme is giving me the push I needed to finally begin breeding the new, most awesome lead ever for my team. Who will LEAD US TO GLORIOUS VICTORY!
The words 'Mawile' and 'tank' should not be in the same sentence. Unless that sentence is something like 'And then the Mawile punched the tank in the face.'
More hilariously, I see that supposedly in Pokemon XD, you can get a Mawile with Sing. The only songs I could ever see that Pokemon singing would fit in Little Shop of Horrors, which would not be terrifically sleep inducing.

What are you using to fight them, Reynolds? Go for a LINOONE with SHADOW BALL! (Or just something that's not Ghost type, with a Ghost or Dark move, I guess.)
I have started transfering the remaining Pokémons from my GBA games and the process is very annoying. At least there's that bug that allows me to do it multiiple time a day.
Its also annoying how it makes you transfer a full six each time, even if all you really need or want to transfer is one or two. And you have to then catch all six, deposit all six in your boxes, THEN you may go ahead and release the unwanted filler ones. And oh, don't forget to make sure you took whatever item they might have been given first. That's another step!

So I'm trying to battle one of my co-workers using direct wireless communication rather than connecting to our wireless AP. He just started playing, though, so we wanted to do the kind of battle that levels all of the Pokes to level 50 or 100, but I don't know where to go/what to do in order to set up that kind of battle.
Yeah, that's the one we tried and it only restricted us to Pokes under level 30. I know the guys in our tournament use the auto level setting, but I have no idea where it is in the game.
Hmm. My Buizel isn't living up to expectations. I wanted to use him primarily as a Rock/Ground counter, which seemed to be going well at first, with Water Gun often one or two shotting Geodudes and the like. Unfortunately, every Rock type I fight seems to favor Rock Smash, which can two shot Buizel. So, I either have to keep pots handy all the time, or find a better counter that isn't going to be absolutely destroyed by the strong attacks of Rock-Types.
Hmm.
*edit* Hey, look, Squirtle has good water moves AND good defense. Too bad I don't have any of the GBA games. Am I going to have to buy FireRed/LeafGrean to use for farming Pokemon not available in Diamond/Pearl?

This is ABSOLUTE SACRILEDGE!
Buizel's best as a physical attacker. (At least, Floatzel is.) He has good Special Attack, but his Physical is better. However, if you want to make him a special attacker, give him Surf as his Water attack. Water Gun is crappy.
I prefer him being physical, 'cause then I get to use Waterfall and Aqua Jet, which are great, and back that up with 2 moves from Brick Break, Crunch and Ice Fang.
Squirtle looks like a Shiggy.
Also, if you want to play a Level 50 battle, and you have a Wii... you can use Pokémon Battle Revolution and connect with your DSes. It's a nice way to battle when there's more than two people that want to SEE the battle, though it involves a whole other game system and a whole other game.

And a crappy game, it is. It's worth maybe ten dollars, not fifty.
All I know is, my Buizel gets curb-stomped by Geodudes, the very thing I caught him to kill.

Looks like, per Bulbapedia, his first Physical Water attack is Aqua Jet at 21.

My current team is:

And an egg some guy gave me that I assumed needs to be in my party to hatch.
I've got the first two badges, and am currently in Hearthome City.
I dunno, I kinda like PBR. It's sorta like a less-haxy Battle Tower that lets you get TMs faster, once you've invested some time.
As soon as you get the Waterfall HM, Houn, teach that to Buizel/Floatzel. Alternately, ask someone here with some time to trade your Buizel, teach it to him, and then trade it back.
I tend to keep the occasional baby Pokémon back that I've bred that didn't quite make the cut, in case anyone else wants them. (They've got good IVs, just not great IVs. But IVs don't really matter in the main game, so...)
Oh man. I just made the mistake of looking up the term "IV".
I am convinced I will never play this game online with any of you now.
I'm in the same boat as you, dude. I like the game and everything and I have been playing Diamond on and off for a few months (just beat the 7th gym leader this weekend). I got curious, though, and looked up IV and realized that I would never be able to battle anyone in this forum. I'll grind my Pokes to level up, but Jesus Christ... IV and EV training? Talk about out of my league.

Yeah. I think I'll worry about getting through the main game first, then decide if all that math is worth my free time.

That's what I'm thinking. I have never finished a Pokemon game despite having owned at least one game from each generation at any given point. I usually get bored with the game because of the grinding 3-4 gyms in, so taking down the 7th gym is an accomplishment. We'll see how I feel about putting in hundreds of hours after I've finished the game.

Bleh, Wifi's being stupid still, it kicked me off the first time I attempted to log on. But it's going now.
Thanks. Out of curiosity, how do you have so many TMs, anyway? Cloning?

..or die horribly, whichever.
Did you know that after an Intimidate, Mawile can tank as well as Skarmory?

Edit:
I can't even beat the stupid ghost gym.
I know this was a couple of pages ago. But I've been laughing at this post for hours.
It IS a good post.
Our clan has a theme already.
It's the Pop Culture Clan! With Pokés that were based off pop culture icons.
If so, how about The Swarm? Scyther's giving me a chubby lately.
I'd be giddy about joining that or a poison clan. I like Muk too.
HOW ABOUT A BUG POISON CLAN.
Can any of you gents help me out with this?
Top floor of Pokemon center, right-side nurse.
Single battle. Standard restrictions. Won't let you have two of the same items though.
Kinda sucks
I'm gonna go search the trons.

I can breed you up a Squirtle right now if you want. Just gimme a heart scale and/or junk pokemon in return.
Actually I might have a spare Squirtle I can just trade as soon as I get access to wireless, and breed some more later.
Edit: Thinking about making a competitive Ditto team, because it would be so glorious to score a KO on someone.
That would be awesome. I'll hit you up when I get home tonight. Unless you have a better recommendation for a Rock/Ground counter.
Also, I'll trade you anything a guy with two gym badges can feasibly find, hehe.

Haha, fight me. I'm new enough at it to suck a ton.
I EV trained them but my attention span is too short to pay full attention so I over/undertrained and then had to guess. So yeah.
Yeah, I think PBR sucks ass.
But it's my most played Wii game to date
