Hay fellas. S'me again. It's been a while. :winky:
Some stuff from tons of quarters ago in Digital paint (links, I know, sorry.):
Stupid apple and oranges.
Me in Mr. Lautrec's style with my drunk old lady face.
The spell check just caught his name and one of the options was "putrescence." Hahaha.
Here's Gustav Klimt's style.
Here's Mr. Pooky.
We had to do 3 trading cards of whatever, so my boyfriend suggested "Superheroes spies with the code names of ice cream!" which I thought would be fun and strange. These are all kind of speed-paints, haha.
Rocky Road
Rainbow Sherbet (not technically ice cream but shaddap)
Neapolitan (they went all rogue and now they're bad guys)
There was another one but I can't find it, haha.
I resized the cards 'cause they're ungodly huge.
I don't think you're happy enough! That's right! I'll teach you to be happy! I'll teach your grandmother to suck eggs! Now, boys and girls, let's try it again!

Harpies. Like Herpes but with more eyeball clawing. Messin' around with colors- I draw them way too often.
Super old, haha. She is a horrible little bitey thing.
I like what i see though.
These are from some dreams a few years ago- all drawn at different times obviously. Uhh...Purple haired lady was a chesty space pilot, the strange horned woman was some kind of inter dimensional witch who shape-shifted, and I honestly don't remember where Miss Handglare came from.
Some MSPaint doodlin'
Harpy again. What'd I say?
Lmao, I almost forgot about the mammoth forearm I put on there.
Heyy! You're right! I never noticed that about the cheeks! Dually noted.
On your piece based off of Gustav Klimt's style, the edges are very obviously undefined, leaving it looking blurry. This is most notable on the figure.
The baby portrait is nice...just unfinished...again you have the same problem in defining your edges.
Work on refining your paintings...you're 99% of the way there!
Yeah. I was actually gonna comment with my next post on how I need more finished stuff! Haha. (By the way the baby portrait is supposed to be blurry in the back; it was from a photograph. I couldn't get my colors inside to blend at all without it looking nasty.) But I definitely agree, I need more finished stuff.
really nice to have you around, hope you stay
Sorry this seems kind crude, just crit it for ya on what I see
saying the nose is masculine isn't really a critique of her technique unless you know she wasn't going for a strong nose, because I certainly know women that do have large noses so you're making a faulty assumption that she didn't want the nose that size and the same applies to the cheeks
that may well have been her intent to make her look more gaunt like that
That's a nice sketch jessi, try varying your cross hatching lines. Do one long solid line and then hit it at another angle.
Just play with it i guess is what i'm trying to say.
Keep it up!
Goddamn I love your sketchy stuff so much oh god it is so cute oh no it is giving me diabetes again
oh man
my favorites are the neopolitan guys and the Gustav Klimt spin
i totally want prints!
prints i tell you
i also really like your cartoon style... it reminds me of the way older looney tunes used to look. back when looney tunes artists were awesome (original marvin the martian... barber of seville... etc). I'd say more, but I dont dare critique because these are way out of my league...
p.s. I agree with Tam, you are definitely worth it
I want to be more involved so I can keep in the swing of drawing! It's so easy to go months without and not realize it.
Here's a quick dump of practice!
I need to work on how an image looks overall. This looks much better close up, haha.
WEIRDO CLOWNS.
Here's a model from class. I beat up the mask from Hellboy. My normal map was funky, I would like to do it over.
My friend wanted me to make it a shirt for him.
This model is older. I fixed his anatomy some but I lost the file yay!
Love the clowns, stab you painting and the zbrush monster.
Where are you going to school and what do you want to do with your life?
Do you have any animation work you could share?
I know you can embed youtube videos and that sort of thing.
These are about 5 years old

This was a quickie done for Web Animation last year. Harpies! What a surprise, haha.
(the assignment was to create a walk cycle with a background. I just got carried away and added the goofy sisters.)

Oh my, why thank you!
Psht. And they said cartoons would rot your brain.
Thanks! I'm not a follower or anything actually, but Ren and Stimpy was my all time favorite show as a larvae. I bet I somehow ingrained a lot of drawing and animation principles from him! Along with other things.
I am totally gonna go check out his blog now!
I have a few issues with the others though...but i'm not in any way animation inclined personally.
The bouncing cat seems sort of strange in the last action, she's bouncing all over the place and gradually slowing down and the bounces are getting smaller and for the last bounce she flies all the way up to the ceiling, seems sort of off to me.
And the harpies are cool looking but they are so static it really kills it.
Thanks! The bear's gestures are from when I learned to ride a unicycle, actually. I could feel what he was doing when I was drawing it. I find that animation is much better if you start out with a character or idea because the timing comes more naturally. If you're not having fun, neither is the viewer-I think.
Crits appreciated!
I agree with you on the harpy one especially. It is stiff mostly because of the way we had to construct it. The walk loop had to have each part of the body on a seperate layer, then we had to make it travel across the screen motion tweens. Bleh.
I always wanted to do a short with them in it; I find the Sabre Dance song to be most fitting.
