Oh my stars and garters! Moments of the Week 04/02/08
I was a little pissed at the cop out from last issue's cliffhanger, but god damn the rest of the issue was fucking nuts.
One of about a dozen deaths.
And the teaser for things to come. Looks like Rick 'bites' it. Maybe cutting the hand off only slowed it down or he got bit on the way out or bit sometime during their travels, who konws.

The Walking Dead is the most fucking ridiculous thing I've ever read; this issue cemented that status.
Guys, this week is a shining example of why we read comic books.
TWD was glorious.
I never realized how much a liked Hershel and his son as characters until I saw them go. Honest to god, Hershel dragging Billy's dead body behind him brought a tear to my eye. Also, regarding the cover for the next issue I honestly think it will be a read herring or a symbolic image for the change in direction. I can see Rick becoming completely shattered as a man and father and seeing Carl take a more active roll as a leader.
Also, SI was great. I was a touch disappointed by how we had called pretty much everything that happened but some of the "smaller" events really piqued my interest.

What the hell happened this month? I mean, god damn.
Who is left at this point? We're basically down to Rick, Carl, Andrea, Dale, the twins, and Michone(spelling?) aren't we? Am I missing anyone?
Him fighting(and eventually driving away) all those gang members was ace.
I have to get my shop to order this for me.
Apparently they decided that the first one didn't sell out quick enough in the first couple days that it was out.
So they didn't order any of #2.
In moments that aren't weak, there's a few that stand out:
ASM was great. Really great. This is what BND needs to be, right here.
The Twelve was also really damn great, but that's to be expected.
Moon Knight was kinda good, the idea that things may not be as they seem, no Skrulls involved, was nice. I wish Texeira wouldn't do the "draw Spector's reflection as Moon Knight" thing so goddamn much. We get it, he's Moon Knight first, everything else can wait.
And of course, Angel. The First Night of Hell in Los Angeles. What's not to love?
but it's not as bad as it was a few months ago when there were like, four panels of talking in the issue and the rest were supergirl flying through space
Ho ho. SI, best comic I've read in months, amazing reveals and makes sense in some ways to position themselves in positions next to the top but not in the blatantly obvious roles that would out them.

That's more what I got out of the cover to WD #49...

OH GOD NO THAT BABY NO GODDAMN IT
it's the last reveal so I'd rather not spoil it.

A ship crashes in the Savage Land. Who's inside?
The secret of Skrullian undetectability, almost revealed.

Only because it tells me I'll never guess who that is on the cover in the fedora.
And I look at the comic show owner and say, well it's probably Phantom Stranger, but I'll just double-check that it isn't
And it was. So I bought it. It being Supergirl, it'll probably suck, but I can't pass up a good long-lost character resurrection.
Fucking lousy writing. I just fucking wasted $3.00.
Bad Supergirl comic. Bad. Stay away.
No. No no no no no. It is NOT GOOD. Flip through it in the store at most. DO NOT BUY.
Agh, damn 150 second post restriction and no fucking editing ability.
Where did you come up with (*WD spoilers)
Cover of Next Issue or future issue.
Holy shit.
TWD was glorious.
Also, SI was great. I was a touch disappointed by how we had called pretty much everything that happened but some of the "smaller" events really piqued my interest.
Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
I think the "He loves you" is them saying that their Cylon God loves even them, their enemies.

Marvel Universe is about to get real weird.
The harder the rain, honey, the sweeter the sun.

what did they do
it's actually not that bad
I mean the story idea is dumb
but it's not as bad as it was a few months ago when there were like, four panels of talking in the issue and the rest were supergirl flying through space
not doing anything
just flying
Also seeing Reed
His concept is fantastic
