Any Canadians have a spot available in thier hotel room for a fellow Canuck? I HAD claim on a bed in SmallLady's room.. but she's not going anymore. :(

I'd settle for a patch of carpet.. but a bed would kick ass. hehe

    What?

This blows. I very much enjoyed her company last year.

Are you sure she won't make it?

SmallLady, you can totally find a place to crash for free. Hell, if it comes down to it, you can probably crash on the floor in my room, but you might die from testosterone poisoning, as everyone else in the room is a dude.

    Meanwhile, start scrapin'!

Screw the clipper, take the ferry to Tsawassen and get a ride to the PAX! Save yourself $60!

    EDIT: Probably more like 75-80!

    Hey!

My crew will of course want to hang out with other canadian's at PAX, so hit me up on MSN: eclypsed@shaw.ca and I'll drop my cell phone # on this thread the week of PAX so you can all call me and I can pay crazy roaming charges to tell the canucks where my crew's rooms are in the doubletree, or you can tell me where you have all set up.

Victoria, anyone? I'm heading down with a couple of friends from Vic via Tsawassen - any others coming from Vic via car, or are you all taking the Clipper?

Attention to anyone routing through Abbotsford BC:

got space for two stowaways who got shafted by their original driver?
Please let me know! I've got my media badge already, so missing this event is completely unacceptible.

    Are either of you 25?

Better yet, do US border officers know/care about the N restrictions?

My friend is 25, yeah. As far as I know (which isn't far), the Graduated Licencing program has no effect if you cross the border. Last year's driver only had his N, and we had three people in that car.

Ive been through the border countless times with my friends and I'm still 'N'. They don't care about that.

We don't know wtf an N is over here. In the US, you can either drive, or you can't. That's it, so if you can drive, good. If you can't, then your ID would say "NONDRIVER" or something to that effect.

That's not entirely true. Plenty of states have graduated licenses. For example, in OR, these are the restrictions:

Wow, that totally sucks. First thing I did after I got my license was cram 11 people in my Oldsmobile and drive to the next county.

that would depend on what time you'll be coming through the terminal. we'd be heading out from Abbotsford, using Greyhound to Langley and transit to get us to the terminal to meet right there. The earliest that plan can get us there is approx 8:35am. We could also head out from here and stay the night in Ladner to meet up in the morning if 8:30ish is too late.

Bah, my friends suck. They keep changing their minds, and we've got a line on possible cheap tickets on teh clipper so we might go that route instead....I'd rather have my car there tho, easier to do beer runs etc.

    Will keep you updated.

Our crew is now coming in a large mini-van, and will be having a party on one (or both) of the nights, so feel free to say hello and we might pass on the party info.

Also, I may be bringing a bit of product from the store (DS games & buttons mostly), but if there is anything you guy's are looking for, PM/email me and I'll see if I can bring it.

One last thing... my wife will be going for a walk at 4:20, but sadly we will not be bringing anything over the border, so if anyone who is bringing stuff or picking up there wanted to go for a walk with her, we could pitch in.

Yeah I'm totally up for doing some micro-trading with people - I'll bring some Spinnaker's brews, they're the best in BC IMNSHO
