Thid=Thidyanki, the level 20-24 battleground iirc. Really its just low-level RvR but it is totally awesome.
DF=Darkness Falls I assume. Its a dungeon that all 3 realms can get access to, though only one at a time(whichever side owns the most keeps). I think they did a complete overhaul of it since last I played, but it was pretty badass even back then.
I never played this back in the day, and heard lots of good things about it, so I'm in. Aiserou the warrior, although I may experiment with other classes since I don't know anything about them. I'm currently lvl 7 and still in the tutorial zone, although I appear to have run out of quests, except for the escort the emissary thing, which I cannot do because he dies to fast.
You guys also said that Midgaard is a melee realm, does that mean the hunter class is gimped? I loves me some bows.
yea aiserou the escort the emissary quest leads to more quests. there are enough qeusts to get you to lvl 11 easy. by the end you get a full suit of armor and a horse and severl magic weapons / shields depending on what you play.

Thanks for the heads up. I rerolled as a hunter (Amblen) and I think he will be able to take the quest as he kills things ridiculously faster.
So my cable internet was on the frizt last night. It came back to life right around 1030pm. Which is bedtime (considering I get up at 545am).
But I did finish patching this morning, and actually got on for about 10sec to make sure it worked.
No playing tonight though, as I'll be at a concert.
And "back in the day" Darkness Falls was a crazy romp. Folks would fight over Keeps to open it, and then once open would rush to DF to kick the other Realm out.
And Legion himself (boss in DF) is kind of cool.
In case folks didn't know, there's a different sort of "currency" in DF (at least I think it's still there) in the form of different Seals dropped by mobs. Those Seals are turned into little imps to get armor and stuff.
Along the same lines, there is Auralite in Catacombs. You get that from mobs, and turn it in for gear.
I was just in Darkness Falls earlier tonight for a quest. But I just barely went in. I'll have to do some reading up on it.
Actually you were in that Demon place, completely different from DF. That Demon place looks like DF, but it's definitely nowhere close as awesome as DF.
thjey added in a bunch of differnt arow attacs , like flaming arrow , ice arrow, you can choose your default dmg type as blunt, pierce or , slash, umm buch of differnt stuff, they kinda turned into casters only wih bows.
and that all your buffs are actualy prt of the archery path and beast crafdt is all about your pet

The no amoo change is awesome. Pretty much every MMo that had a bow class screws them over with the added cost of ammo. To have to buy/make something to do your very basic damage dealing skills is BS. I understand if its for a powerful special ability.
Good to hear that mythic fixed that, and gives me hope that Squig Herders in WAR might be even better than I thought.
So I'm going to go ahead and skip my CS242 class today so I can get home earlier. I'll be able to finish my homework and then head online right afterwards.

Same here. I wanted to do the Animst thing and make mushrooms but oh god the forests and things.
haha, play hibs on lam and albion on ector. Helps keep me from going crazy i just have a severe case of alt itis and some times you jsut gotta scrachthat itch.

It's a good thing I'm away from home and bored right now. If my laptop will run this, A Dell Inspiron 1525, I am so in. I mostly played Albion back in the day, Friar and Reaver being my favs. It might be fun to see exactly what was happening on the other side of the tracks.

Wasnt Fancy Lads the old guild from.. Months and Months ago during the last rush? Pretty sure that was Midgard too cause I remember dieing on an island trying to get into a cave and running Catacombs insta dungeons on a Thane, Skald, Zerker and something else.
Then I got on my Alb Necro and farmed things with my insta life tap and power tap, then put that money into Glowys for a Alb caster that one shotted mids in the face in Thid. Oh gods my face! IT BUUUUUURNS. Yes thats what they would say.

I would like to add that I'm furious at the choice of Mid. I like playing hybrid fighter/healer classes, and Mid doesn't have one. Friars and Wardens ftw.

I loved playing my Hunter four years ago but the ammo thing always annoyed me...especially since I crafted most of my arrows.
God I'm excited. Spears and Pets! I like my Bonedancer but the Hunter and I are old friends.
