Woo! Just passed 2 million healing! Only seven million nine-hundred fifty-nine thousand three-hundred and seventy-six more healing to go!
Where do you check for total healing done? I can't seem to find it...
tf2_playerstats.dmx, in the "tf" folder in the tf2 directory. Open it in notepad, search for "medic", and scroll up (the class is at the bottom of each block). The number beside "iHealthPointsHealed" "int" is healing done.
What if I just change that number to 10 million? Or does Valve keep this on their servers too.
Didn't Yahtzee say when he was at Valve he watched the next 'Meet The' video (presumably the Scout) and not get some of the humor.
If it was this one I say that he must have been in a coma like state while watching or something. Puny Scout fight big huge man over sandwich while screaming like a madman.
They showed "Meet the Scout" at the GDC in February. Why the hell didn't they release it to the public earlier? Do they really need to drum up that much publicity before the medic and goldrush update?

That was months ago, and they changed it when he didn't get it either.
IIRC, the one he saw may have been about a medic as well.

I'm not sure it stores anything online that isn't your public stats, so it's possible that would work. But it would also be really transparent if Valve were to check for cheaters. Who knows how much they would care about that.
Is there still no way to reset my stats? I've still got my most ubers showing as 8, back from when it was not working so properly. And there is no way I've got that many since each time I get one I immediately explode.
Actually, it was the around the same length as the others, it just felt short because of the "anomnomnom" part after the logo.
Ahh ok I see.
I just enjoyed the demoman one better. The scottish music piping, him saying, "THEN COME! COME ALL YOU CONFIDENT WHATEVER WHATEVER PROUNCING ABOOT WITH YOUR HEAD FULL OF EYEBALLS! COME, COME! I'LL BE WAITING ON YA!"
Then he rounds around the corner, sets up the stickies and takes a swig of the bottle. The heavy's face is priceless when he rounds around the corner only to see the stickies and demoman saluting him off to his death.

He might not have been able to place the accent that well, so he didn't get the kind of feeling from his voice that most of us do.
I don't know why everyone dislikes the demoman, it's probably the most intense and humorous. The soldier one is pretty good, and the heavy is extremely funny.
I think meet the demoman is my favourite, but meet the scout was great as well.
Regarding my microphone: yes, it's plugged in right, and yes, I pressed the button. The microphone itself is also okay because I just used it in vent and it worked just fine there.
My most favourite parts of these videos are the actiony-bits set during ingame combat. Like the game + extra atmospheric awesomeness with dramatic camera angles.
...of course monologues and one-liners are also great. But yeah.

I hate those bits because they're always feeding you false information, like that you are able to run straight at a turret and not die in < 1.5 seconds

That's why I don't understand why everyone likes the "Meet the Engineer".
I mean, there's literally NOTHING fact or true about that video.
They make it seem like you can have multiple sentries up.
I wish I saw more of the personality the classes have while I'm playing.
Engineer uses words like structurally, superfluous, and behind in the shorts, but in-game it's nothing but southern accents and YIPPIE YIPPIE KAYE YAY
I always thought that would be something really cool to see in the game. Like hearing the characters act like they do in the trailers. The Demoman would be hilarious.

He is the essence of cockyness, you can see it in his eyes at the end when he's eating the sandwich
I believe it's all animated, that's part of the reason they take so long.
Why don't you try doing it and find out?
Couldn't play last night due to a friend's birthday party, and tonight after work I'm attending another birthday party, this time for a kid.
I'd say later tonight around 8-9pm. Let me know about the match results.

I might have to go upstairs to the internet cafe so I can hear what they're saying.
They're saying things....

Too bad this movie was extra short, and it doesn't show him killing anyone.
IMO -- The demoman was the best.

that's only because the soldier doesn't have R. Lee Ermey's voice.

Yeah, that's cool. That's not the best one liner though.
"Some people think they can out-smart me... maybe *snort* maybe... I've yet to meet one who can out-smart bullet."
followed by the demoman and scout

That aside, Meet the Engineer is the best one.
