New tv?

So, I've decided that I've had it with the tv I currently use for gaming on the Wii, and am considering getting a new lcd replacement. But, I need some advice. The tv I'm using right now is a 28" Philips with several SCART connections, but no component. I would like the tv to replace it to have either two HDMI connections or one HDMI and one VGA connection. Our current tv in the living room is a 32" LG lcd which we have hooked up the media pc via the VGA connection, so I know that some tv's do come with them. It should also have component for the Wii. I will be transferring all my media from the media pc to my desktop and purchasing another Microsoft MCE remote so I can use my desktop as a media pc, too, connected to this new tv.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I would prefer it to be around the 26" to 32" size, so that's fairly flexible. It has to have either of the two connections options listed above as I have a friend who brings his pc up often and I am sick of having to move my tv out of the way when he does. With the new tv, he can just hook his pc up to it (and get a great monitor replacement, the bastard). What about the Philips Ambilight models? Are they any good? They look interesting. I don't really mind which brand I go with as long as it isn't Sony due to my own experience and preference (unreliable/expensive/can't stand the company). I looked at LG first due to the tv we have in our living room, but they seem a bit pricey. I will consider all options but I would prefer to go with the cheaper option every time if it is a viable alternative.

I'm in Ireland, so don't bother giving out URL's with links to purchase whatever models you suggest, I'll just look them up in Irish retailers online and in Cork city. Cheers peeps :)

You will get the best suggestions if you ask in the thread specific to these matters where all the TV geeks hang out and spew out excellent advice on a fairly regular basis.

Hehe, I thought about doing that alright, but only after I'd posted here. I thought I'd wait for a response anyway. Okay, mods feel free to lock this thread, I'll repost there :)
