I would imagine that Marvel would introduce the top hitters of an Avenger movie in their own movies, but would introduce the rest in the movie itself. That way they don't have to wait for everyone to have a movie.
I imagine we'll get Cap and Thor, then Avengers, then the rest of whoever makes the cut in this round.
The thing I really wouldn't guess is whether we'll be getting avengers before or after a second iron man, as I think they'll be within a year of eachother.

The Ant-Man film is already in pre-production
Yes, but so are around 15 other Marvel films, and that's just counting the ones that've been in pre-production since early last year, when Avi Arad stepped down from Marvel citing the fact that they were making too many films, and headed for failure. Back then, there were well over 20 films in pre-production, for every minor character you can think of that's had their own book at one point.
The movie could be canned at any minute, and probably will be if Hulk bombs. I'm noticing that IMDB lists Edgar Wright as directing, too, which could go either way, since he has so many other commitments.
I fully expect Ant-Man, Captain America, Thor, and Nick Fury to get flicks
I dont know what other franchises were supposedly getting made but all of those I expect to see
Luke Cage is still listed at all fronts, and Iron Fist is listed seperately with less details.
At one point, Black Widow was listed and David Hayter had written a screenplay for it and was in talks to direct, but it looks like it's been canned. There was also supposed to be a Man-Wolf film as well, believe it or not, and also some, believe it or not, films based on characters even more obscure than Man-Wolf.
All I'm saying is that if they can another film, and Luke Cage or Iron Fist aren't actually in production at all, then Ant-Man will get the axe over Silver Surfer, Magneto, Cap, or Fury.
I really don't think Iron Man is better than Batman Begins.
Neither do I. But it's easily the best Marvel has done so far, which is good. When the first trailer of Iron Man surfaced, I thought it was going to be another Fantastic Four and possibly the nail in the coffin for Marvel (as far as quality goes, not sales).
I would agree, except I think Spider-Man 2 is definitely the best Marvel flick - in fact, it's pretty much the only non-animated super hero movie that rivals Batman Begins in my opinion.
I could see them doing Dr. Strange over all of those if it came down to it, and then even over Ant-Man.
I really think Ant-Man serves better these days as just an avengers-specific character. And if Edgar Wright's writing and directing the film, who's to say we won't get Irredeemable Ant-Man in a film, and normal Ant-Man exclusively in avengers (or no normal ant-man at all, with Wright's replacing him).
dosen't Fox have the rights to Magneto, that wouldn't be a Marvel Studios film
And Wolverine I think. But I think Marvel Studios got Spider-man back for 4, 5, and 6. And they're supposed to be recasting the roles and getting a new director.
Marvel Studios still co-produces all outside properties, and has been since X-Men 1 at the start of the decade.
Yes but if Fox owns the movie rights, then Marvel cannot make a movie with that character until they either buy the rights BACK (It'd be pretty silly not to have a clause to be able to take your property back for a price, in case X-Men sucked horridly and Marvel did not want them doing more) or the rights expire.
So whereas Spider-man and maybe Rogue or Beast could be in Avengers, Wolverine (if his movie is still being made by Fox) would not.
Ant Man's already got Edgar Wright attached to it, and he's a character they'd probably like to use in an Avengers movie, so I'd be a little surprised if it got canned.
And anyway, everyone know Alan Tudyk is the best possible Ant-Man up until the point where he slaps his fiance. If they're doing that, then we need Russel Crowe, because we simply cannot tarnish the guy who played Wash with spousal abuse.
According to Marvel's production lineup, Guillermo del Toro is in talks to direct a Doctor Strange movie, with Neil Gaiman attached to write the script.
...
I know something that epic could not possibly happen, especially considering how attached he is to the two Hobbit movies. But man...that's the best possible set-up for a Strange movie you could GET. I'd be so fucking there. I don't even care who'd be playing Strange. They could cast Billy Zane -I wouldn't give a fuck!

Is del Toro even available anymore? He's moving to New Zealand for four years to do The Hobbit.
I think you could do a good portion of a Dr. Strange movie in New Zealand...
and I just want to throw out that, having just gotten back from Iron Man... I... honestly don't know how I could be anything but disappointed in the rest of this summers line up. I know that sucks to say... but it was just soooo good.

I was actually less pumped to see the Dark Knight after watching the trailer that was attached to Iron Man. The only thing that looks interesting in the whole film is the Joker. But, hey, if he is on screen 70% of the time it'll be great. :^:

I would so go to see that movie.

Child actors freak me out, man.
I'd rather see it as an animated series.
