So I recently dug my Dreamcast out after not having played it in a while, and ran into a weird problem when hooking it up to my HDTV.
I've used an (official) RGB cable, and it looks great... in 50hz. The second I put it into 60hz, the picture becomes weirdly distorted and scratchy. Anyone got any idea as to what's causing this? All my other consoles run in 60hz just fine, and it'd kind of suck to have to play my DC at 50.
Not heard of that myself, but a mate of mine seems to know an worrying amount about dreamcasts, and he just got an HDTV, so I'll ask him next time he's online.
Have you tried putting it through 60hz on a standard tv if you do have one? It might be the cable
Well the only standard TV we have anymore is an ancient portable, and when I hooked it up to that I didn't get any image whatsoever, which is probably the creaky old TVs fault if anything.
