My Collection
but not official pads, like the Japanese are getting.
No, they're official. It's called 'Pearly White' IIRC.

Seriously.
Or put out a new Wavebird that has rumble.
edit: oh man, that's what Iget for not reading the thread...
What I didn't like was having to replace batteries and no rumble.
This thing having a longer cord fixes that.
Where can I import one?
Switch: 6200-8149-0919 / Wii U: maximumzero / 3DS: 0860-3352-3335 / eBay Shop
I actually preffer that it not be white. I HATE white electronics, with a fiery passion.
Butwhich controllers are you talking about?
3000+ hours on my first cube controller (including Smash) means its analog stick is not quite what it used to be. The extra long cord is icing on the cake.
PSN: theIceBurner, IceBurnerEU, IceBurner-JP | X-Link Kai: TheIceBurner

baby
but that'd probably be sort of difficult

It can't be that hard if the CC has at least as many buttons as the GC. I have a ps2 controller adapter on my Cube, which I only used to confuse people in my gamestore.
Also, rumble is not the end all be all, but it would be nice if they ever did it.
Actually, it WOULD be that hard, because the Wii ceases being a Wii when GCN games are running. INternally, it switches over to GCN mode, and does not recognize ANY Wii perifferals.
That's borderline retarded then.
[Edit] That is, if we wanted to use the CC in Cube mode.

The thing is, the Wii is no longer running off of the Wii frmware when it is in GCN mode.
I don't know the specifics of it, so I can't reallyget to technical, but unlike the PS3 or the 360, the Wii does not emulate the GCN, it litterally BECOMES a GCN.
If you hit your home button while playing a GCN game, nothing will happen.
That said, the BT dongle might be able to work.

Classic Controllers are only $19.99.
They REALLY need to come out with the piece to clip your CC to your Wiimote, though.
Your sig made me lol hard.
quoted because I always get pissed off if I am reading an old thread and someone references a sig/av and it has since been changed
Because the remote can't find the Wii because the Wii thinks it's a Gamecube. It'd be nice if Nintendo somehow could release an update that would enable Wii features while playing GC games so that you could use a CC, save to the internal memory instead of memory cards and have your playtime tracked.
Also, the Gamecube would show a small picture, the game's title and a short description in the Gamecube menu. Why the hell isn't this shown on the Disc Channel before starting the game?
About the controller: Longer cord is nice and I like white electronics, but I'm not gonna try to buy one unless I REALLY need another GC controller.
They really do. Seriously, why else did they even bother putting that slot mechanism on the back of the Classic Controller?
Even if Nintendo charged $5 for a tiny piece of plastic and made it only available online, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
The Wii doesn't "think" it's a GCN, it litterally BECOMES a GCN. It's kind of like dual-booting. You can't just make a small change in order to enable Wii features in GCN mode; you would litterally have to re-work the entire mode so that the Wii emulates the GCN while still running asa Wii, which would be crazy, since you would actually endup with games running marginally worse, since the system is being emulated. When you have the hardware to run the games outright, it is crazy to do that.
I don't believe this sort of meta-data is stored on the GCN discs. If you own a PS3 or a 360, you'll notice the same sort of thing when you put in a game from last gen (or earlier) where, instead of the game's name, it'll just say what system it is from. In order to change this, you'd need some kind of dedicated on-line thing that is just perposturously costly and insignificant compared to how much it would cost. Either that, or you'd have to download some kind of meta-data for ALL GCN releases ever.
Indeed.
Some third party made something, but it was kind of bulky, and I don't want to waste money on it if Nintendo might eventually come out with something better.
Yeah, I actually stole that from someone who quoted it in the "Ikaruga on XBLA" thread that is currently exploding since it's wednesday. I modified it a bit from the original so it wouldn't be too huge, but I couldn't let it slip by, and I was looking for a new sig, so....
I have been looking for that classic controller combiner thing that came out (I believe it was Nyko) a while ago, but I haven't seen it in stores in probably a year or so.

No, 'tis. If you go to the system menu on the Gamecube, when you go to the "play game" (whatever it's called) face then it displays the game's title and logo.
Yes, I realize that changing the Gamecube mode would be crazy, but it would be nice to have those features.
And yes, such meta-data is on the GCN disks. If you on a GCN hold A while booting it'll take you to the system menu and you can see the meta-data in there.
