Ok, so let me get this straight. The Trade Credits are for you to receive games. You can trade as many as you want, but you can only receive as many as you have trade credits, right? Otherwise, the guy requesting MGS: PO is pretty fucked.
I am assuming yes, then.
You spend trade credits when you recieve a game, not when you send one.
Last month was Free Trades month, where you didn't spend any trade credits at all. I recieved seven games that month.

Damn.
Heh. When I found out that I could drop Ikaruga (GC) for 1000 points, I went a little crazy.
But yeah, the system seems like it's really geared towards dropping a bunch of low-point-value games and picking up one expensive one. It's how I got Gears of War, anyway. And even if there's a million people in line to trade away the game and nobody requesting, just give it time. Somebody just yesterday requested Oni from me. I didn't think I'd ever get rid of that piece of shit.

Like I said, you get to jump in front of anyone in the queue who is either on hold or has insufficient points.
When you're checking on a game, click the "Trading Info" tab. If the number of "ready" requests (the number in blue) is zero, and the number of "ready" offers is greater than zero, you'll probably get it instantly if you have sufficient points.
(The reverse is true, too: if the number of ready requests is more than 0 and the number of ready offers is 0, you can probably trade away the game instantly if you want. I used this to great effect during Free Trades Month.)
I agree. Even with the one dollar to get a trade point, there are still a ton of games I can get cheaper than on ebay, and I just need to trade in a game I don't like..
Damnit, it was at 9 turns yesterday, still at 9 turns today.
I chose Dynasty Warriors 4 for XBox. I know it's going to be the same stuff as the old ones, but let's face it, they were great games... and I don't currently own any of them. I've also heard that DW4 on the Box solved several of the popup issues with the enemies, which was always my primary gripe about the game.
If it doesn't budge in a week, or looks like it's going to take a few months to count down... I might change to something else.
Alright, so uh, I'm going to be shipping this fellow DDR:U with the pad.. is there any specific way I need to ship it? Do I need some fancy 2-3 day shipping that costs extra or what? I don't know anything about the American mailing system oh god
Anyone have any advice on "the proper way to ship something to someone"?

Always pick the "Will send in 3 days" option even if you send it next day. It doesn't mean the package is going to arrive in 3 days, just that you will send it out by then. The system will automatically close trades after 21 (?) days with a positive feedback if the buyer hasn't given feedback by then.
Always use at least a bubble mailer for just sending out individual games. Make sure the disc is secure in the case, because if it gets moved around and scratched in shipping, it'll probably get you a negative feedback (if the disc doesn't work). I used a bit of scotch tape to tape the disc down in the case (on the label side of course) just so it didn't move around, but that was because the case was a little broken anyway. You don't have to do this but it's a good precaution.
I haven't sent anything bigger than just a PS2 game, but for sending bigger items just make sure they're packed really, really well. Get delivery confirmation if you're in the US and sending within the country. Unfortunately us Canucks can't do that without spending $Alberta.
I usually just tape the Goozex label to the mailer instead of re-writing the address. I also tend to check on google maps or mapquest or something to make sure the address I've been given isn't fake.
It's good practice to PM the buyer when you've sent something, or if you know there will be delays. I usually PM before I send something and let them know what the condition of the game I'm sending is (if there are scratches, cracks in the case, etc). Working it out beforehand if your game isn't in the greatest shape can help you avoid a neutral feedback. Of course if it's just a couple superficial scratches and the game is otherwise perfect, then you don't need to worry.
Uh... that's about all I can think of right now. Just make sure you pack your stuff really well.
So I was going through and adding a bunch of games I wanted to my request, and I noticed my points went away. I checked my list and it says I have a match with Onimusha 2. I wanted this game, but there are others on my list I wanted more, so is there any way to cancel this game out? The seller didn't confirm sell or anthing.
You can try PMing the seller and seeing if he/she will decline the trade. Or, if they've already accepted the match, there should be a 'request to cancel' button. No guarantees they'll accept, though, because both parties need to accept the cancel for it to work.
What I'd really love to get my hands on is a copy of Sonic Adventure, but nobody has the PC version. Gah. I suppose I could get the Dreamcast version, but DX is (supposedly) slightly less buggy and has all the gamegear games as unlockables.
I tried the Rayman 2 demo a while back and was severely underwhelmed. It seemed slightly clunky and slow, yet all these reviews I've seen rave about it. Was it really that great?

Most of the old PC stuff that is actually decent I own, and all of the 360 stuff is far too point price-y.
It may have a large waiting list, but sign me up.
Some Steam games are listed but not tradable, some are simply not listed.
I know when Orange Box came out there was a bit of controversy because they accidentally let some trades through before blocking it.
Don't request or offer Steam games.

I want to know when I can start offering people the chance to play lucky hit and ask for sailors.
Depends on the shipping. Usually a week. Sometimes less, sometimes more, never more than 20 days.
I have to say, this seems like a great service.

SegaGT 2002/Jet Set Radio Future combo disc.
100 points. Best 100 points I've spent.
Man, I should have gotten an Xbox 1 as soon as the Dreamcast died. Ah, well. I've got some catching up to do.
Edit: Ah man, he sent it disc only. That really grinds my gears!
Heh. GT4 was the first game I got rid of using Goozex.
You can change what condition you're willing to accept games in in your account options. And per-game on your requested games page.

Got yours.
Hmm... I have a TON of DS games I don't ever play anymore, I might just go ahead and put them up here.
Looks pretty cool to me. I like that you can buy points with your monies so you could technically get games cheaper than from Gamestop.
