Ok so I just clicked request for Neverwinter Nights (I hear it's quite good) and put in my address. Is there anything else I need to do?
Pray that someone is selling it and the system will inform if they find a match to your preference of either just the CD, the CD and manual, or the whole package.
I'd really like to know what kind of person doesn't keep their game cases and/or manuals. Having slight OCD, I find this to be madness! MADNESS!!

It's weird looking on ebay or amazon marketplace or something. I swear like 75% of the sales I see are disc only, and I just want to know why. What the hell do people do with their manuals? Do they just toss them in the garbage after opening or what? I just want to know how this happens so often.
Yeah, the only thing really stopping me from getting a bunch of points with goozex is mainly concern over what kind of condition the somewhat random other person has their game in. But I may break down just for the heck of it.
Oh man, I just realized I could so get Fallout and Fallout 2 off here, seeing as how I've never played them, yet never stop hearing about them. If I have a good experience with my first transaction, I'll definitely look at picking those up. :winky:

I'm normally very good at keeping my cases and manuals. However, I've listed a few games on Goozex as disc only. Two reasons:
1. I bought the game used from Gamestop and it never came with a manual.
2. For some reason I don't have any boxes or manuals for my GBA games. I suspect they are in boxes somewhere back in storage in the US, but I've since traded a few of the games.
I love Goozex, but don't expect new or rare games. I pick up a lot of old games that I never got around to playing (Jade Empire PC, Beyond Good and Evil for Gamecube, and I currently have four PSP games en route since I just bought a PSP, among others). I traded away some games I'll never touch again, like Super Ghouls N Ghosts for the GBA, Children of Mana for DS (felt bad about that one, but what a stinker), and Warhawk for the PS3. All in all a really nice service.
Sweet, my game's shipping now. Hooray for free games. This was a pretty good marketing drive for Goozex, I think. I'm going to have to take a look and probably keep using this site, even though usually I don't sell my games. I'm contemplating trading off my 360 Orange Box (I'd rather own it on the PC later, as I don't have a live account) and get Mass Effect instead.
FWIW, I've gotten 3 PS1 games off of Goozex. MGS, Tekken 3 and Jet Moto 2. Full package, all in mint or near-mint condition.
It's usually old PC games (the ones that came in cardboard boxes with paper disc sleeves) that will be disc-only.
Many of my Dreamcast games are disc-and-manual because I reboxed them all into DVD cases last summer and while I saved all the original artwork inserts and such, I threw out the (mostly broken) jewel cases. Still, usually I can find stuff full package with enough patience.
What I don't understand is a console game from last gen or newer being disc only. They come in DVD-esque cases, how does someone lose that?
It does seem to be a rare occurence though.
Disc only might still mean they have the case, just not the manual. There is, unfortunately, no disc + case trading option (there should be, though...)

quite a few PC games (especially rereleases and "collectors editions" of older games) have no manual at all. I'm not sure what to list those as.

If you have all of the original packaging, list as Full Package, if not, Disc Only.

Guitar Hero, Odama, Warhawk, Wii Play, or other games with pack-in peripherals will be listed as disc only or disc with manual if the peripheral is not included.

Okay, but I mean regular games that come as a case, manual, and disc being listed as disc only.
So a game had 1 available active as the full package with no requests for it. I requested it, and my request is active, and I have enough points. Yet it hasn't matched it up yet. What gives?
"Active" means that the game is in another user's library (and not on hold), but the user does not have an open trade slot. You only have a couple of open trade slots when you first start until your feedback increases. Once it increases, you can then do more simultaneous trades. So, that Active listing means that the user is already sending out other games that need to clear first (get feedback on) to open another slot for you to get matched with.
The field you actually would need to check is the "Ready" field instead.

My old roommate left his copy of Rainbow Six Vegas in my 360, and a copy of Killer 7 from Gamestop. Those are the only ones I have without cases or manuals.

It's not so much losing them as the simple fact that a lot of people don't care to collect game cases. I used to collect them, but in the end, I decided I preferred the free space gained by just putting all my game disks in a binder.
I have a huge plastic box that I keep all my consoles in, my PC games are all in a binder and the boxes in my closet. why would I throw anything away?:o

I can see that with PC games, but GCN/PS2/XBox/Wii/360/PS3 games come in DVD cases for easy storage. I don't really consider that "collecting cases". At the end of the day, to each their own. If there's ever a chance that someone may trade/sell/give away a game from one of those systems at some point though, there's no excuse not to hold onto the case. They don't take up a lot of room, and are literally made to store the discs when you're not using them.
Why is the special edition of Rock Band labeled as a MMO, and therefor unable to be traded?
I'm guessing they just use that label on any game that can't be traded over Goozex.

Well I want to get rid of Final Fantasy VII and I'm wondering whether I should trade it over Goozex for virtual money or sell it on ebay for real money. Opinions?

Hmm, should I get Dungeon Keeper 2(will it work on XP?) or Homeworld or Rise of Nations now OR just wait for Fallout Tactics or Fallout or Baldur's Gate 2? So many old games I haven't played and I want to play them all...
Edit: Nevermind, found a guy who has Nox so I'm grabbing that.
Fallout 2 or Civ4. Damn. That's a tough choice. I'd go with Civ4 but only because it will "last" you longer. But on the other hand Fallout 2 can last forever too..
