Computer not booting - hanging unresponsive at mobo splash screen

The iTunes process wasn't closing so I reset to be able to run it and when the computer turned back on it just hung at the motherboard splash screen (Asus M2N-E), I tried to get into BIOS but the computer becomes completely unresponsive at this screen. I tried to pinpoint the problem, booting with ram/hard drives unplugged (one at a time) and didn't get anywhere. I'm pretty sure it's the motherboard. The icing on the cake is that I've got a project due tomorrow, the sole copy of which is on this computer.

Is there anything I can do (even temporary) that would let me get back on for tonight at least?

Thanks in advance.

delicious.

Whip out the hard drive, drop it in another PC as a slave, whip the files you need off it. Fix the PC in the morning. (I'm assuming you have access to another PC if you're writing on the internet.)

    It was the CMOS battery.

    Thanks, though, Seydlitz.
