LET'S TAKE A JOURNEY INTO THE ANNALS OF FORUM HISTORY
So I was curious about what I was really like back when I first started to actively post and ran a find all post by this user function on myself. What I found was slightly horrifying and full of mystery and forumers who have long passed on to probably other places on the internet.
But the most disturbing thing I found were my old posts and how many of them I actually remember.
FOR EXAMPLE
Note the use of an overused phrase and reference to a video game. Shameful! But not the most intriguing part of this relic. Note the reference to this "Dimebag Darrell thread." No records of this thread seem to exist on the forum. The thread this quote was pulled from? A chatlogged thread titled " Wanna See some Girl on Girl Action?" (source).
Further inspection of the thread reveals more information on this "Dimebag Darrel thread," reveals this post:
But is this the whole story? And whatever happened to this thread?
An old post from Tube sheds more light on the story.
And following an attempt to relocate, and ultimately save the thread for when somebody else gets bored and wants to revisit things that happened like three years ago on an internet forum, this sad news was uncovered:
Sadly, his admin powers weren't quite powerful enough to rescue the thread, and so, the Dimebag Darrell thread was lost to time.
Also sadly, my terrible 2005 posts were not all lost to time. Goddamn.
