I dunno if it's been posted, but Mark Speight was found dead. He was a TV presenter who went missing a few days ago. He was in a fragile state of mind since his fiancee died of an OD three months ago.

man I don't care what you think about starbucks, but if you wont even give the black nectar the courtesy it deserves then I don't even want to know you

hey [chat]
I planted a garden today. I've got tomatoes, bell peppers, banana peppers, jalapeño peppers, some new houseplants, and later in the week I'm getting an herb garden so I can make homemade salsa.

I like Godot. Still don't like coffee.
Godot should be on every Top of the Page.

I hate Starbucks. Where's the "I don't drink coffee" option?
Non-coffee-drinkers are worthless swine who aren't worth the seconds it would take to create that option.
Every once and a while I think "You know what forums comprised almost entirely of nerds need more of? Elitism." Elki, as he always does, answers my deepest desires.
I think I've been inside a Starbucks all of once, with a friend. I almost bought a muffin, but prices weren't posted and I figured it'd be like three bucks.
I was right.
Anyway, can't tea be an option too? Hot chocolate or tea . . . all I'm asking.
Cappuccinos are too insubstantial for me... I like to drink my coffee, not suck up foam. Latte sipping liberal all the way baby. For the record, that is for coffee drinks in general. Starbucks can suck a dick.
Starbucks is so shitty what are you thinking? Elki you need to come out west and I'll show you what real coffee tastes like.
Doesn't Seattle have like the third highest Starbucks per capita ratio, right behind New York and London? Those two cities, of course, possessing Starbucks that sometimes are directly across the street from each other, where one can only assume all kinds of sitcom-y competitive hijinks ensue.

I wish I could remember where I saw the chart plotting Starbucks per capita against Walmarts per capita . . .

Seattle also has the Pan Africa Market, home of the best latte I've ever had. Just because the unwashed masses here drink a lot of bad coffee doesn't mean we don't have excellent coffee shops. Interestingly enough, the reverse is true. Because so many people drink Starbucks and make coffee a part of their lifestyle, it's easier for independent places to set up shop-- people graduate from the 'bucks to decent shit.

Off-topic. Though most of the O's apply to me. But none of the T's.

But having an un-answered poll at the top of my page bugs me.
I'm doing an all espresso lineup. It should be obvious, Mike!
Starbucks doesn't make good hot chocolate though.

Also I'm from Portland.
I was watching Book TV the other day, and there was some guy talking about his book on StarBucks. Do you know where he was from, Sami? Portland.
I don't think I ever had a white chocolate mocha.
