Ghost Rider is a third person game based around the movie of the same name. The game's storyline is a sequel to the movie, and was penned by Marvel writers Garth Ennis and Jimmy Palmiotti. Players can play as Ghost Rider both on foot, or on the Hellcycle. The villains are both from the movie and the comic. Such villains are Scarecrow, Lilith, Blackout, Vengeance and Blackheart and for the GBA Mephisto.
The game features a system reminiscent to that of God of War, even having some of the same controls and style of attacks[1]. Combos are done with bare hands and with the Demonic chain. The overall mood, setting and visual style are very much the same as those in the first installment of Devil May Cry. When on the Hellcycle, Ghost Rider is still capable of performing many of the same chain attacks, and can shoot hellfire. The game is quite controversial because it has a storyline that takes place after the events of the film.
The Game Boy Advance version has some elements of Road Rash and Castlevania.
Road Rash and Castlevania, you say? I didn't even know such a version existed!
This is not some sort of half assed attempt at having a Nic Cage thread. No sir.
Ever play God of War? With those things on a chain striking out at foes?
It's like that, only with a setting kinda like DMC 1.
Infinitely more Nic Cage. You know, the star of such wonderful films as The Rock, Con Air, Raising Arizona? Yes, that Nic Cage. He is Johnny Blaze or something.
And from my experience there hasn't been a good motorcycle level in a third-person action game since the 16-bit side-scroller era, so you're going to have to do a bit more than tell me "there's a motorcycle in it!" to get me excited.
Even if said motor cycle is from Hell and has wheels of fire.
Sometimes I think I'm the only person ever to actually like the movie.
Movie was awesome if you thought it would be total shit and you got mediocre in return.
At least it was like that for me

My buddy and I had been up for over 24 hours, more like the mid 30s and on a road trip when we saw this movie. Needless to say we were high on lack of sleep and thought the movie rocked. For anyone who has seen it, in the last 20 minutes or so, the line "Monsterrrrr" made us laugh out loud in the theatre. If we're trying to get a laugh we'll say it to each other. Good times. Didn't play the game.

Just bought it for my psp along with Marvel Nemesis and Medievil Resurrection
Needless to say, i liked both the move and the game
And the motorcycle bits are like Road Rash, apart from the fact that in most of them your riding and shooting stationary enemies, and jumping and sliding and stuff
For a quick movie cash-in, the game wasn't half bad. They blatantly ripped off God of War and then sold it for $20 (or it might have been $30, I just remember it was not released at full price).
It was a bit on the easy side, but I actually enjoyed the motorcycle levels and some boss fights (though unfortunately the Vengeance fight is only on the motorcycle and no regular boss fight), and their redesign of Vengeance was pretty good. It also had a decent amount of unlockables, including a playable Blade (who was pretty much Richter mode, as he had no upgrades, but kicked ass anyway with his own playstyle...though biting into the neck of a fiery demon to recover his health was a little odd).
I heard the PSP version had some kind of multiplayer motorcycle deathmatch race thingamajig, but I only played the PS2 version.

He did a good job in the movie though, trying to make a dull ass script interesting by being totally fucking insane.
