I don't have anything to contribute in terms of the racism discussion, but it looks like some of the plot was revealed or at least hinted at in that trailer. I don't know if this has been discussed before or not, but if so forgive me. This doesn't explain why Chris is in Africa, but I got the distinct impression from that guy on the megaphone talking in the beginning and then again near the end that the Plagas may have been given to these people as some sort of a weapon to use in a... dispute? I'm not sure what to call it. Judging from what he said it seems like this group of people is trying to reclaim their land and either they find or are given the Plagas as a way to grow stronger and win their war. If that's the case it'd be pretty interesting and it doesn't seem too far fetched.
Hopefully the machete has appropriate dismemberment or can at least cut off plagas that have decided to come out of peoples heads. I'm probably going to play the game running away mostly and just using that punch (how does he hit so hard?) to beat things away.

It took me a while with Ashley to figure out that the bullet would penetrate the zombies head and go through her (killing her) if she was being abducted. That did help me a bit in my [up to that point] numerous Ashley homicides.

Alright they were, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who wasn't thinking it pretty hard.
I shot her 3 times deliberately, all in frustration at the part you have to protect her with sniper rifle/general gunfire while she turns levers or something. Eventually I took the habit of shooting her in the head every so often to relieve the stress.
And I'm calling it now, you will unlock Chris' Resident Evil 1 uniform. The sleeves will, of course, be torn, as his triceps are now the size of cantaloupes.

And the trailer looks amazing! I'm trying to get passed all the not-zombies, personally. I miss them... But this looks incredibly badass. I'm stoked... And sad at the same time.
