So guys, you might have guessed that in addition to playing Roguelike games, not finishing LPs, and posting here, I like to play with dolls.
But not real dolls. No, fuck that. That is pussy ass girl shit. No, I prefer to disguise my homosexuality by playing a questionably-heterosexual PC game called The Sims 2.
What is The Sims 2? I'm surprised you haven't heard of it. It's basically a simulation of people. You build a house, and make some people, and try to keep them happy through their wacky adventures. Improved from the original Sims are the ability to age and have children, and the Aspiration system.
What are Aspirations? Well, they're things that your Sims aspire to do. Duh. But speficially, they're a general goal for a Sim based on a general want - Fortune, Family, Popularity, Pleasure, Knowledge, and Romance, to be specific. Each of these aspirations have many different goals (like 'kiss someone' for romance) that give you aspiration points when achieved. Get enough, and you'll get into Platinum Aspiration, which means your mood levels go down slower and your sim's just a generally happy dude. The expansions, well, expand on the Aspiration system.
There are seven expansion packs in total, and although not all are fantastic, each adds something new and interesting to gameplay:
The first expansion pack, University, added Young Adult Sims who go to college. If you go to college you have higher skills (classes are basically like jobs with skill requirements) once you graduate and become an adult. Or you can just fuck around and drop out of college like your good pal Moriveth.
The second expansion, Nightlife, added a downtown section and turn-ons and turn-offs to your Sims, as well as introducing a new aspiration, Pleasure (we'll get to that in a minute).
The third expansion, Open For Business, adds the ability for your sim to start up a store in their own home - or on one of the downtown lots. You can also hire people to work at said shops, and there are different activities as well (building robots and toys and such).
The fourth expansion, Pets, adds, well, pets. You can have puppies, kittens, birds, and the rodent hodgepodge called the womrat. This, of course, adds a lot, since trying to raise animals can be quite difficult.
The fifth expansion, Seasons, adds, well, seasons. Sims now can dress for different types of weather, and the game will cycle through them as you play. Also added are the ability to garden, and activities during different seasons (building snowmen in the winter, playing in leaves in the fall, etc). And apparently if you garden enough, you can become a plant. Yes. A plant sim.
The sixth, Bon Voyage, adds the ability to take a vacation. That's all I know about it now since I just got it.
The seventh, and presumably final expansion, Freetime, adds a variety of hobbies for your Sims to take up. From nature to arts and crafts to movies, there's a wealth of different things to acquire an interest in, and benefits are gained as you go on. I say this is presumably the last because the game has a computer where you can play 'The Sims 3', and, more concretely, The Sims 3 was recently announced.
So why am I making this thread? Well, isn't it obvious?

Ask to be put in, and I will let you in. But you have to do something for me first. Specifically, tell me what kind of Sim you want to be. And this is achieved by filling out this simple worksheet:
I will be doing a small number of people at a time, and adding more as time goes on. I'm not going to group people together specifically, so it will likely just be a random assortment of folks. Let's do this.
[B]AGE[/B] How old do you want to be in the game? I understand that most folk will want to be adults but some may prefer to be teenagers, or hell, even doddering old men and women. If you don't say anything I will just assume you mean adult. [B]PERSONALITY[/B] Your personality dictates how your Sim acts in different situations. Is he nice or mean? Is he clean or filthy? Does he talk to people or is he an introvert? The game does this by giving you five stats, and twenty-five points to divide between the five. The stats are: Messy----------Neat Shy----------Outgoing Mean----------Nice Serious----------Playful Lazy-----------Active They go up to 10, and can be at zero. Please divide the 25 points you get between those five choices. [B]ASPIRATION[/B] Next up is Aspiration. What does your sim want to do? Does he want to fuck all the ladies (fat fuckin' chance!) or does he want to just party it up? Your aspirations are: Fortune: "I want to make tons of money." Family: "I want to pop out, or make someone pop out, lots of my spawn." Pleasure: "I want to party like it's 1999." Romance: "I wanna fuck." Popularity: "I want everybody to know me!" Knowledge: "I'm a big nerd." I will pick turn-ons and turn-offs, because I am a big asshole who likes to toy with people. [B]Appearance[/B] Finally, what do you want to look like? Please don't expect an exact replica of your face, because that is difficult to do and I am lazy. But a general idea would be good (skin color, etc). Please keep in mind that there isn't a terrible variety of hair colors in the game, so if you have strawberry-blonde hair don't bitch to me if your sim has red hair or blonde hair. Also, there are no real body types for the characters - if you say 'skinny' I can't make you skinny. The body type changes according to how much food you eat and how much you exercise, and that's about it.
