It helps to have an idea; working off a particular shape is always easier.
Also, I've had fun before digging through my architecture books and attempting to copy the houses in the Sims (within reason!); that's really good practise too.
Any more ideas? I like challenges!

Oh man, you need the cheats enabled for that. I'm kinda averse to using cheats. Like there's a cheat to get items on diagonal walls but I don't want to use it.
That's really cool, though! And are those custom cupboards in the kitchen or are they available in an expansion pack? Because I want!

you should make Hulk House look like it is torn in half. Like, basically two separate buildings with catwalks in between, and the walls between are jagged like someone ripped the entire thing in two.

Someone needs to do a house with forumers but set it strictly under free will and do it like the Goons. Prime directive, don't intervene at all and see how long it takes for the place to dissolve into madness. Run a blog on blogger.com or something for each Sim Day.
I'm pretty sure the Goons that run Sim houses understate the amount of influence they exert on their Sims. After awhile my free-reign Sims basically develop a very boring routine of the same 2 or 3 things for fun, the same breakfasts/lunches/dinners, and I've never had Sims choose romantic interactions until after they're already crushing on one another, let alone WooHoo together.
Yeah. They've even got bands to come in and do simlish versions of their own songs, like "Free Radicals" by The Flaming Lips.
College Rock is pretty good, I figured some of the songs had to be adopted songs. They sound so familiar.

These are the ones I really like from University. In fact, I was listening to a friend's iPod and heard This Conversation Is Over, and for a second wondered why it sounded so strange (it was in English!).
However, for whatever reason, if they fuck some sim and another sim they fuck is in the same lot, that other sim knows about it. It's like they've wired their room, just waiting to see if they cheat. One sim that was a player pissed off like four lovers that happened to be there all at once.
