I can't seem to remember the site or any site for that matter. But what is a good site to import some stuff from Japan? They are getting those new White Wii GameCube controllers with the 3 meter cords. And since you can't find a new wavebird without paying $70.00, this seems like it might be a good option.
Can anyone help me out here. Shouldn't be hard...what's a good site that is trustworthy to import from?
Just to throw the option out there, GC extension cables are cheaply and readily available from ebay and various other sites. I have 4 GC controllers and 4 5m cables, and it was very cheap to get this setup.
Threads like these remind me to hate Sony for getting Lik-Sang put out of business.

I prefer Yesasia for a lot of things, namely since they tend to be cheaper, but they specialize more in media than gaming, so they can't really touch Play-asia in that category.
But if Yesasia has it, it's the way to go. They have free shipping from time to time, also.
Play-Asia is sometimes cheaper. YesAsia is sometimes cheaper. It's really much of a muchness.
Play-Asia usually seems to have the hardware I want in stock, so I usually go with them. But they are both solid.
Also, if you are willing to take the risk of getting a third-party cheapo controller, there is always DealExtreme. You would have to get some extension leads off eBay, though, to reach the 3m, so it mightn't be worth the risk of getting a cheapo third-party controller in the end.
Add another voice to the chorus for play-asia and yesasia. I get import gaming stuff from both but I tend to favor play-asia for gaming and use Yesasia primarily for asian cinema. The play-asia email newsletter is almost sinister in its ability to pry open my wallet.
I'm having trouble finding the list in the Play-Asia site, but someone here once posted a link to a page that listed all the 360 titles with no region coding. I might be needing to sell my Hong Kong 360 in a while, but I'd like to send some of the games (which would sell for hardly anything here) to my friend in the UK. Of course, to do that I need to know which games will play on a UK 360. Big love in advance for anyone with a link to that list.
ah...this is awesome. I knew Penny Arcade would come through for me! WOOT!
We actually still have 4 wavebirds...but after several years of wear and tear and use and abuse...they just don't work too well anymore We bought some wireless Pelicans...man do those fucking suck. Can't stand the things. And trying to Brawl with a classic controller....that just don't cut it.
We need the GameCube controllers. And even trying to find a corded one...it hasn't been too easy. At least not a new one that is. So it looks like we will be importing. Can't wait for them to come out in the states.

I bought four extension leads off eBay for around $10 shipped. It was worth it.

I have some too. I was asking why they're short, not how to fix the problem.
Traditionally, Japanese living space is much more compact than it is in the West. That would be my guess. Or, just poor design maybe?
