can anyone trade me 1k marble? have 1k sulfur/wine/crystal available, mix/match up to you. I can do about 2k worth of marble, send message before your ship please.
I've got room for a few more cultural dongs if anyone's got some.
Guys, just look at your alliance page and go down the list of people, middle clicking (open in new tab) the message icon on the right side of each persons listing. Then go to each tab, select cultural exchange, and send the message. Viola! Dongs!
(if you're not in an alliance, well, use the OP list and just send out messages randomly)
To be honest I'm pretty mystified as to why we're merging also. It'll make us even more dependant on one guy having huge embassies, and we're in no position to support each other.
We should rethink our regional alliances, I think. :P
You two are more than welcome to start your own little alliance.
Anyone tried out the new game from Gameforge, Battleknight?
I just saw that email and was curious if it was more online crack like Ikariam (and thus should stay away)...
Mr. Snack Road speaks truth; every point of population counts as a negative toward happiness; people don't like living tightly packed with others.
On the other hand, if your current population growth is negative, that is because the total happiness is negative. Influences from well-digging (capital only), holiday (research), taverns and museums is less than the negative pull of the population. You probably ran out of wine or someone canceled a cultural treaty.

If it takes a couple weeks for whoever to build their massive embassy and take us one by one this is what will happen anyways.

I hate you.
Eh, I just created an account and poked around a bit, doesn't seem worthwhile. It's too narrow a focus, and I don't think the 'play-and-wait' style of actions/events from Ikariam works for a single character game. As an example, I just started, took a mission where I had to fight a bandit I suppose, then was told "Your knight is busy, please wait until he comes back," with a 10 minute timer. Combat itself just seems like a pairing up of both our stats/attributes and equipment... Meh.

Yep, I was just messing around and thinking the same thing...there's nowhere near the level of complexity or excitement that Ikariam brings.
It's like Diablo, but with long periods of doing absolutely nothing, instead of fighting.
So I sent a spy to this guy's town, because it said I could potentially get 6,000 gold. After the spy landed, that amount dropped to 334 while I'm in the town view.
Is the island view the player's score, and the in-town view the individual town's score?
edit: his name is UnwiseTrout, and it's a colony. Anyone seen his main settlement?

Exactly; I'd rather play Diablo than wait for a watered-down calculation of it. Plus, I think part of Ikariam's appeal is its visual style. It's very colorful and cheery, and quite pleasing to look at as your town develops.
And an update on my "girl" situation, I sent my spy out but before I was able to poke around he was discovered. This will either a) scare the crap out of the "girl," or b) spark an unprecedented retailation as the "girl" becomes a man.
If anyone decides to ship me some stuff, I will sex them forever.
It's a long trip, but I can do it. I've got building materials, marble, and sulfur. Sending everything in one go to consolidate action points is a must - how much of each do you want?
All i need is ~500 marble. If you can supply that, I can supply some crystal here shortly.
I am sending my dudes out on a 24 hour round trip. I will not be seeing that action point again until tomorrow, and I am offering you free shit because I like feeling useful.
How much of each do you want?
Thanks a lot Bulwark. I needed that, 500 crystal is on its way to you, ETA is about 10 hours.

I'm so over this game:
Your knight is exhausted and is not able to participate in another mission today, wait till he is recovered or become premium and double the time your knight is able to do missions.

But...you can spend real money in order to buy rubies, so you can click a button and wait another hour a day!

That's the thing, it wouldn't be little, there's a lot of us in the south east and we're literally days away from you guys up north. We're better off hooking up with some of the guys to the west of us than with you guys up north.

Where are the coordinates for south east...? I'm 18 hours away from my alliance.
We should probably find a way to make a map showing the current locations of all PAX members, and figure out who should go in what alliance from there. There's a ton of overlap and some pretty large distances involved.
Well to be honest I think it better we go for two big alliances in different areas that co-operate closely. So long as we keep the PA connection (through this thread or threads like it), work on resource exchange etc it would be better alround I think. People who we care about (big alliances) will know we are effectively the same one.
Bah, I didn't realize it was so easy to get an Embassy! I was sitting here working my way up the Economy Tree because it thought it was at the top area. Come to find out it was just Foreign Cultures Ugh. I'm retarded. Anyway, in about 9 hours I'd like to join the PA alliance: PArc (I'm in the northwest sulfur island)

I'm starting to feel really bad about hitting up these 2 guys for 48 boatloads of loot a day and yet I've started eyeing their 3rd cities. I think this makes me a bad person.

How many pillages do you people do per day? I'm starting to hit the 20+ pillages a day mark, here.
I don't understand it. If they built even just like 5 phalanxes I'd give it up as not worth the hassle and yet they just keep fabbing slingers for me to poop on. They certainly have enough money to buy sulfur even if they have no colony for it...

I'd been playing peaceful but my cities are growing so slow now that I'm pretty much spending every available action point at my capital on pillaging now.
No, you want NPAX. Since you're sitting on my island, and all. There is a bit of overlap between the two, however.
Edit:
I've been working on the map a bit. Here's the updated map so far; this has the locations of all current NPAX members correctly marked, but I have not finished updating the island types and adding all the newest people.
As always, the latest version of the map is located on the first page.

Loading up the wine fleet!
On that note, can people see ships that are still loading as incoming fleets?

They cannot be seen until they leave port and are on their way, I believe.

I'd imagine you're looking at it through your town hall?
I'm pretty sure that's a glitch; actually - that's the total population you have, the negative sign just shouldn't be there.

We are stretching the concept of "West" a bit.
A few WPAX members have settlements on NPAX islands... Due to the orientation of the game map, geographic regions are sometimes confusing.
Oh, I know about that. :P
What I meant was a unified map that had different colors for NPAX, EPAX, and WPAX.
Wha Wha! buy some crayons! :P Yea, that would be nice... really nice if it was in the GAME!
