I question the retrospective because I have seen that I really only have 3 games for this system. And after a quick review of their gaming list, I really can't see anything else that I don't already own and/or that isn't crossed platformed on either the PSOne or Saturn.
So if someone ownes Starblade, Gex, and Wailae Country Golf is there anything else they should own?
I bought one of these and a shit ton of games and accessories at a yardsell last year for 10 dollars. I played some games, decided it was total shit and sold it all on ebay for nearly 300 dollars. The porn games got the highest bidders. :winky:
...and I thought of how all those people died, and what a good death that is. That nobody can blame you for it, because everyone else died along with you, and it is the fault of none, save those who did the killing.
Hah, The Horde - with Kirk "Jesus is the answer" Cameron. Actually, that was an okay game if I remember right. And of course, SC3 was awesome (I still personally prefer the Starflight series, though).
The only "porn" game I remember was "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties", a horrific live action dating-simulator-sorta thing that had a couple topless scenes you could uncensor with a code.

Hah, I remember hearing about this "game." Here's an honest-to-god scene from it (nothing even resembling nudity or even sexy dress, but really bad sexual dialogue):
They weren't exclusives, but it did have exceptional arcade ports of Super Street Fighter II and Samurai Showdown.
And, well, Way of the Warrior? Jurrasic Park Interactive? The Horde? Demoliton Man?
I got nothing.
That seemed to be my point. I have most of these games on Sega CD, Playstation, or Saturn. I think my gaming library is going to be smaller then my 32x collection.

The 3DO was the only home system that got a port of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo for a long time. This was right around the time that the SNES and Genesis got plain Super Street Fighter 2. I always wanted one just for that. Back in 1994, Akuma was fucking legendary.
I'd have bought one, but it would have cost me $741 with Michigan sales tax. That sort of purchase was a pipe dream that early in my teens.
I rented it like five times though and played the shit out of Road Rash, Syndicate, Quarantine, Return Fire and a bunch of others. Sadly, I never did play Star Control 2 during my time with that system...

I never did play Star Control 2 on 3DO either, but fortunately The Ur-Quan Masters fixed all of that. I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread.
My most played 3DO game was probably Road Rash, or maybe Samurai Showdown. The port of that was phenomenal, and way cheaper than the Neo Geo version.

Make sure you dig up the adapter to use an SNES controller. 3DO controllers were hideous.
Man, I spent $500 on the system. My Dad laughed at me, I didn't understand why until years later.

I so wanted one for Twisted Metal.
Then I got a playstation. The end.
....porn games? I have no follow up.
Final Fantasy XI -> Carbuncle - Samash
Immercenary is a cool first person shooter set in a virtual world. Road Rash is absolutely fantastic and probably the best game in the series.
Yeah, I still have a 3DO that I got just after launch after convincing myself and my dad that it was the future of videogaming. No regrets!

Of course, you can get it on the PC for free these days in the form of The Ur-Quan Masters. It even includes the 3DO content, I believe.

LIZ: Different.
VOICE-OVER: It's September 24th, I'm Liz Parker and five days ago I died. But then the really amazing thing happened. I came to life.
