So I'm in the market for a new headset with microphone. Now, is it possible to have an USB headset show up as a separate audiosource? I tend to have concentration problems with both game sounds and people on vent all coming from one source, so ideally I'd like to have voice chat in the headset and game sound through the regular source.
Yes, my USB headset shows up as the C-Media CM108 Like Sound Device. Entirely seperate from the onboard audio of my computer.
I use this one. The eDimensional AudioFX Pro 5+1 USB I do not nessisarily endorse these headphones as the ones you'll need as in my experience all of my USB headsets have been seperate audio sources.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I was actually wondering about and should have mentioned. :P
I'll ask in the store just in case before I whip out the cash. Case closed.
