Can't you just have a save at the start and a save at the end so you can enjoy the city in both symbiote and unsymbiote states?

    Well, yeah.

Just, if you play through the entire game using only autosave, you fuck yourself over in the end as the only way to keep playing is to start a new game.

My mind boggles. I'm pretty sure that's one of the first skills I picked up when I got the game.

I also beat the game(bad ending) and I have to agree best Spider-Man game ever. After I get done with Fallout 3 I'll take another swing(hehe) around as the good spider-man.

They do represent what ol' webhead would do if he let the black suit take control.

    Also Rhino riding is awesome.

    But then again...It's Spider-man.

    God damn it.

I don't feel their is any excuse for omitting a free roaming mode after you've beaten the game. So annoying.

Seriously. The best part of Ultimate Destruction was when you beat the game, you could roam around as
    Abomination
    or
    Savage Banner
    and just blow shit up.
No doubt that the people who made this game worked their asses off, but come on.

Okay, so, I'm willing to call Web of Shadows the goddamn best superhero game yet made. This game supercedes Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for sheer balls to the walls awesome, and that's no mean feat.

You know what's the best? Power rock sliding up the side of a building. This is the Spider-Man I want to see, all "WHOO! I'M A SUPERHERO AND THIS ROCKS!" Especially with the red suit animations, I get the sense that Spidey himself is having a great time.

The combat system is friggin' incredible, and my salutations to everyone involved with it. The differences between the red and the black suit are totally wonderful and, no matter which suit you opt to use, just plain fun. Web Striking a dude into the air only to grab him in another Web Strike and do crazy air combos is just the best, and chucking cars at the Kingpin's giant robots was so damned awesome.

Then there's the nods to Marvel continuity. Not just the characters, the little (and the big!) stuff. Like Stark Tower looking like it does in Mighty Avengers, with the haziness of CLOCK. Billboards for the Kronas corporation. Just great. (Side note: Where's the Oscorp building and the Baxter Building? Are they in different parts of NYC or just not in the game?)

If anyone from the Web of Shadows team sees this, from one developer to another, you guys did a hell of a job here. I haven't had this much fun since Ultimate Destruction's release, and for that I thank all of you.

Am I wrong or did the people who made WoS also work on Hulk:UD?

Cause the more I play Spidey, the more similarities and design choices I see.

    Coincidence?

SM2 gave me trouble, for the stupid dodging final boss.
Yeah, I tried it like 15 times before I was able to beat it.

Tried it again today. Went like a breeze, seriously, I pwned Ock's ass. It was like I was Neo or something, really wierd.

I need to buy this game too. Fuck, with this and Fallout 3 my wallet is being raped. :x

I don't think so. I mean, unless the UD people jumped ship to Shaba after the game was finished, but I haven't heard anything about that. Shaba has primarily been making stunt games up to this (they did some Tony Hawk ports, and some Wakeboarding game), so this is their first *actual* action game.

The UD guys are currently working on Prototype, which looks awesome, but we haven't heard anything from them in a while.

Good game. the controls are less precise than previous games but it's easier to pick up, just not quite as cool. the fact you don't really seem to be on a pendulum kind of swing is disappointing.

Generally pretty good, but god damn they loved the web strike way too much. It's the only real way to hurt half the enemies.

    movies is GAHHHBAGE

real spidey went on a field trip to a science lab where spiders where for some reason being irradiated, and then poorly contained. radioactive spider bites parker, he can suddenly see without glasses and has robust strength and agility.
he then procedes to kill his uncle in a similar fashion to the movie-uncle-ben-death, except for some reason the wrestling match was televised.
anyway, peter puts on some feety pajamas and a sock on his head and fights crime (totally unbelievable until you realize his villians include 'fish-bowl-for-head-guy' and 'tubby-guy-with-robo-arms'.
also peter is a genius, HE MAKES THE DAMN WEB SPINNERS OOHHHHKAAAAAYYYY????? jesus

Dude it is the same with countless things, look at the DC world. How does darkseid come down and blow up half the world and none of the other super heroes come to help (For the most part)
It's like superhero knowledge that this, is how this shit works

If we applied logic to comics then batman wouldn't be able to do jack shit and the flash would be the only hero the planet would need because he can be everywhere in a second.

Its not possible to keep things consistent with 100s of writers and 50+ years of storylines in a shared settings. Just ignore the plotholes.
