Anyone got a good looking method to get into the upside down animation? I web something and try to stop and I just look retarded trying to do it, so any cool looking methods would be helpful.
flag poles, bridges, and some street posts are good for this

how do you hit them with web? I tried (only once) by holding RT while a lamp post/traffic light was in front of me and he jumped and shot past the post to a building

I hate reviewers sometimes.
"Even at 480p there are jaggies!" newsflash. 480p has just as many lines on the screen as 480i, and updating them faster doesn't make jaggies go away.
"Things are muddy!" The city is covered in zombie goo. What do you expect?
"Things aren't shiny!" If they were, you'd complain even more about jaggies, as you'd have a billion sparkly pixels flashing around.
"There's not enough stuff around!" That sort of thing happens when one has to figure out how to make a game show up on a system with 80% less ram and 88% less CPU. So sorry we used memory getting all of the combat moves in rather than drawing all the little sparkly bits of mica and such in the sidewalk.
"It looks barely above average for a wii game!" ... Please, have you *seen* the screenshots from the new hulk game? And anyone that brings up Conduit fails immediately until it actually comes out.
I can understand his annoyance. People either expect way to much from the wii or way to little then a game that has a nice middle ground comes along and it's not perfect enough so people trash it.
At least now I can recomend this game to my buddies without 360s.

I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.
So, the PC version of this game is finally on the shelves at Best Buy and Gamestop. Anyone tried out the PC version yet? I'd just go and buy the 360 version but my console is still in red ring limbo.
I've only had it for a little while, but its pretty good. Mouse/Keyboard controls work well, graphics look good. It runs a little sluggishly on my PC, so if you have a low end system you might want to get the console version.

hrm... weird, i know i've latched to a flag pole once, the kind that come off the side of the building. i only assumed about street lights. i'm not positive how you'd aim it...
for bridges, it fairly easy: just swing either below the bridge above the water, or swing from the road on the bridge so it latches to the 'arches' above the bridge. (i've done this, looks pretty cool)
Just wanted to say the DS version is actually pretty engaging, and the speed of the gameplay is preserved. Repetitive combat, but you can spice things up by switching outfits mid-throw/combo.
Okay, how the shit do I do the Chain Reaction mission. Seriously. They always block, and I can't do it closer because it goes into fucking slo-mo and won't go back to normal until I Web Attack.
So I guess I got a glitch. "Hunt 10 x mission" but x wasn't spawning correctly. Gamefaqs says save/reload should do the trick, but I went to bed instead. Hopefully it will be fixed when I play it when I get home from work.
There needs to be a faster run. One of my favourite things in SM2 was landing on a roof and sprinting along then jumping off again. The run here means you lose so much speed doing that.

I got this once. I just swung around the city for a few minutes and they popped right up

sprinting at the speeds spider-man swings would mean running faster than suped-up racecars. it would be silly. jump and swing again.

Because this game is so realistic currently.
Also apparently nike thinks ronaldo runs the hundred metres at the same speed as a veyron.
But I'm not asking it to be the same speed, I'm asking it to be a happy medium, but currently it's just so goddamn slow it's not possible.
But Spidey does have super-speed--not on Quicksilver or Flash's level, so it would make sense for him to be able to sprint at about 60 mph or so...I agree with NumNuts about the running thing, that was an great thing in SM2.
So slower run (walk) and faster run is what the gamers want? Yeah, I am upset that with all the little touches they did right in this game (RB/LB on lampposts and holding A on walls and standing still on a web line = HOLY SHIT I'M SPIDEY) that they didn't include a walk animation.
How hard is it for everyone else to find hurt civilians? I've started at first throwing cars near enemies to try to get an injured civilian, but i've found that cannon ball swings don't give black points and use that to try to get an injured civilian.
Aside from that, I've given up on the civilian quests.
And how annoying is it that it says to hit LT but it always targets an enemy first and the civilian dies? Am I doing it wrong?

I'm right there with you man. The targeting sucks when it comes to civilians. The only time I honestly have a chance of getting to one before they crash to the ground is when the game pauses to tell you how to save civilians.
Normally, a game pausing like that would be annoying, seeing as you really only need to read the instructions once, but at least it gives me a heads up that there's a chance to save someone.

Yeah, I think rescuing civilians is the most annoying thing in the game. The L2 (on PS3) targeting doesn't work correctly, and half of the time I get tons of black points 'cause either I don't notice them, or I'm in the middle of a combo.
I resorted to jump kicking cars, which flips them over and causes them to pop a victim occasionally. It's pretty dreadful.
Cherrn on
All creature will die and all the things will be broken. That's the law of samurai.
If a civilian's in the air, you'll get a blue circle and arrow on your screen pointing in their general direction.
I'm typically in the middle of a Web Strike, so I opt to bounce off, aim for that direction, and Web Strike the civilian. Although I still miss the occasional one, especially when more than one are thrown into the air at once.

Oh God, this runs like shit on my PC. Way to go, me. I'll check for some actual performance customization options when I get home, but if that doesn't work, I guess I'll just rent it when my 360 comes back.

New Game+ *new*
After completing the game, fully watch the credits. After you watch them select continue and you will once again end up at the credits, to be safe do not skip the credits either. On your third try select continue again and the game should now start at the games first cut scene with all your upgrades and collectables.

"Hey guys, let#s put in a new game + but make it REALLY hard to find!"
So I spent a good amount of time swinging around last night (I rented it), haven't really done much in the way of missions.
The only thing I REALLY don't like, unless I'm doing something wrong, is the inability to stick to a wall as I'm swinging. I just seem to bounce off of them.

Hold right bumper to stick to a wall and crawl. Or left bumper to run along the wall. Or hold A to stick to the wall and then release A to jump back off.

The publisher probably didn't spend enough on IGN ads.
Have you SEEN the city?? There's no TIME to walk! Spidey has to be on the move!!!

Also the targetting generally is awful...
just making sure: by RB/LB i didn't mean wall run/crawl but the perch on lamp posts and flag posts thing.

If a game has Spidey in it chances are I will like it. It's like this golden layer that blinds me to the badness.
Soooo, about that "triple jump." It's actually an infinite jump. RB+A can be used infinitely in the air. I almost got over the park using that.
.... What level is your Spidey?
When I press those two buttons in the air he jus spins sometimes. Maybe you have a special bug.
I think I'm at level 7, and I think i found it at level 6.
Yeah,good idea guys.
Thanks for that Pika!

1. Hit LB button you wall run
2. Hit RB button you stick and can crawl from there.
Hold right bumper to stick to a wall and crawl. Or left bumper to run along the wall. Or hold A to stick to the wall and then release A to jump back off.
New game confirmed.
