I keep seeing a lot of Japan not delayed talk here, but I don't think that is true. I live in Japan with a JPN PS3 and I receive server errors (and I cannot even enter my login data anymore without getting a server error as of ten minutes ago). I think this beta is just out of commission everywhere right now.
Anyone catch the word "payment" after Konami ID? In the confirmation email you get..
"On clicking on the URL listed below, you will automatically be forwarded to the "Terms and Conditions for Use of KONAMI ID Online Payment".
I knew they're were planning on 'booster packs' but.. with all this hoopla I can't help but feel something more sinister is in the works. ie Battlefield Bad Company. $1.99 for Genome soldier armor...

I think the reason is the konami id is for the konami shop and that's why we have a game id as well
but I am not sure I don't think it has to do with ingame purchases from the konami website or anything but I don't know.

I'm almost certain the only way to download it is through the PS3. It's coming directly from Konami, not through Sony's servers.

Can anyone get the patch download to work? The http one times out at like 20% and the p2p one never gets any higher than 6 kb/s for me.
You know I was really worried when I started the download on saturday but my download never dipped below 250 kb a sec. It was all done in about 45 minutes. I guess im just lucky.

I tried getting it from their server 3 times before giving up and going with p2p. The server dl would always hang or die around 50%. The p2p started slow but eventually I was cruising at 100kbps. If transfer rate doesn't improve after a spell, might want to do like brynstar suggested with taking a look at your router, general network settings, troubleshooting.
I guess I'll still play it when it finally comes online, but I've lost all the excitement I had a few days ago. Of course, the whole reason I bothered getting into the beta was to help make the wait for GTA4 easier. It doesn't matter how far they extend the beta, to me it was always "Through April 28th."

Yea, I'm not sure on that. It won't be helped that the European players get Smash Bros the day after GTA either.
