scroll wheel

I know how to set the sensitivity on the scroll wheel. My problem is that if I move the scroll wheel slowly, it works fine in browsers and most apps, but in both Visual Studio and Eclipse, it doesn't do anything unless I move it quickly. I can scroll slowly for a long time with no effect, but one quick flick will scroll the screen.

How do I fix this so that I can slowly scroll in these other apps? If it was just one application, I'd think it was up to the software, but I suspect I'm missing a setting somewhere.

    I fixed it for Visual Studio by installing the software that came with it instead of the generic driver, but Eclipse still does the same thing.

    mouse settings in the control pannel has a setting for how many 'lines' a 'tick' scrolls through, not sure if that'll be any help in your case though

    I've seen that, it does nothing to resolve the issue.
