Yea, more than I did initially. It's just that you have to accept that the fighting is really sloppy. Playing with friends is of course the highlight of the game. I just with it had a tighter fighting sysytem, but that has never been something MK has been known for.

Is it sloppier than the past couple MKs? I'm starting to wonder if the game was rushed to meet the holiday season.

It's certainly more so than MK 2 or 3, I believe.

Probably was rushed, but it seems a liiiittle more polished than the last few (but that could just be me). I also didn't expect much in the way of unlockables and what not since it is their first installment on this gen. Yea, unacceptable, but expected. Why please the fans?

DLC to the rescue, I believe.

I've heard there's plans for a Heath Ledger style Joker as DLC, for instance.

So I just spent a couple of hours playing with friends, and another hour or so playing story mode.

Maybe it's the Mortal Kombat nerd in me, but I love it. Yeah, it's a little clunky, but no more so than MK: Deception. I'm enjoying it very much thus far.

Basically, if you liked Deadly Alliance and/or Deception, you'll most likely enjoy this one. Just expect less in the way of alternate costumes and such.

Oh yeah, and it has BATMAN IN IT!

    I <3 you.

    I can't wait to <3 this game.

I would <3 it if we could get a list of gamertags for this game. Heck, PM me if you plan on buying this/renting for a week or two and I will make a master list of all Kombatants.

edit: Enjoy. edit: Enjoy again. Go to youtube to watch this...there will be a playlist on the right side with a ton more (I think all or most of) fatalities.

I really enjoy it. It does play like something that was made in between 2 and 3, which is a good thing. I have the 360 version, though I might trade it in for the PS3 version because this d-pad is killing me.

I am getting the 360 version. Shipped today, so says my email.

Dpad, shmipad. I'll get used to it. I also have the arcade pad thingy for fighting games, although I hate that it isn't 1000lb to stay in place. I really need to build my own arcade cabinet one day.

My fiancee bought this for me for the PS3. My ID is TheSneak.

I am digging it so far. It feels like a combination of MKII and III.

I don't mind the Klose Kombat at all. It doesn't really pop up much, and when it does, it's pretty okay in my book.

Ill be getting (renting rather) this for the 360. Hopefully itll arrive monday. Although from the looks of it most likely tuesday/wednesday. I do want to try it out. I like MK and I like this concept here as much as people are smiting it. And from etoy is saying its actually not half bad. Im quite excited to play it.

Thing is, when would you use that against the computer? Storymode and then where? And if someone is smart enough they can just jump before his animation hits the ground. Also, from what I hear on here and Gamefaqs, everyone uses Flash.

Why? What is so devastating about them falling like bricks if you don't perform a fatality? You want them to have a nice dramatic fall, like they have just been shot or something? Because if so, you have the wrong game.
