So I just got a physical done and my pulse was 41, should I be worried. The guy said it was really low and it shouldn't be a problem but he was military and probably doesn't know what he is talking about. My pressure was 117/90. I am 5'9 and 150 pounds.

Not very athletic, but I run about a mile and a half three times and a week and I perform maintenance on jets.

Thats reasonably athletic. No worries then. Its natural to have a lower resting rate if you are used to regular cardio.

It's possible he screwed up the pulse test.

You can also screw up the pulse-ox finger probe by messing around while it's taking a reading.

I'm a runner (when I'm not injured) and when I went to the doctor a couple of months ago my pulse was 42. The nurse who took it freaked out a bit and took it a few more times (same result). They waited awhile and took it again and it was 60. The doctor didn't seem worried, asked what kind of exercise I do and said that it made sense. I was also there because my hands and feet get ice cold and he said that this was also caused by my low pulse. Kind of a negative side effect of an efficient heart, but nothing to worry about (although it is kind of annoying).

Don't worry about it. Or we're both going to die, but that seems unlikely.

IN GENERAL, a better conditioned heart will have a lower resting pulse.

But if you're worried at all, for the love of God, doctor up.
