Are there any builds in this game that dont spam one or two skills over and over and over and over yet?
You could try a martial arts assassin. Haven't made one myself, but they seem a lot more involved than other builds.
Yeah, MAs are pretty dependent on multiple skills. You'll usually be using Tiger Strike, possibly Cobra Strike for leech, maybe Phoenix Strike for Physical Immunes, plus a finishing move to end the combo. This includes Dragon Flight for teleport utility purposes. Then you've got things like Mind Blast and Venom to help out, and you may even look into using a Shadow to help tank or decoy.
I'm planning on a hybrid MA/Fury sin myself. Blade Fury with a Crescent Moon and lots of Crushing Blow equipment along with the Venom skill, plus Dragon Talon for single enemies (since Furysins have crappy AR) and Death/Lightning Sentry to help out with groups.
Everytime I exit BNET and try to relogin it says unable to verify application version. I have to reinstall diablo and LoD and then it works again but everytime I exit I have the same problem. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem is and how to fix it?
If I do play, I'll probably go trapsin. Although I don't know what skills I should sink points into.
Lightning trapsins generally go with max Death Sentry/Lightning Sentry/Charged Bolt Sentry/Shock Web/Fire Blast. With only a few +skill items they go from "pretty damn good" to "Jesus Christ Blizzard lrn2balance." We're talking 1-13k damage per trap when you're packed full of +skill gear and skill charms.
Fire trapsins are somewhat less popular since they can't do nearly as much damage and Wake of Inferno is bugged to do 1/4 the listed damage, I believe. They do, however, have a much more consistent damage rate than lightning trapsins.
The Furysin is it's own breed of Assassin, even though it's technically a trapsin as well. Furysins work more like Amazons, only they carry melee weapons that they never actually hit people with. 50%+ crushing blow, 1 point in Blade Fury, and either Ignore Target Defense or a high AR and you basically throw machinegun shurikens at things.

This is why I loved my assassin. It felt way more involved than other classes. Back when I had her I think my skillset was something like Tiger Strike, Dragon Kick, and Wake of Inferno at full. I used my 1 point in cobra to gain back any mana (seriously, this skill rocks even at level one), and then there were a few other skills that I used too. I kicked much ass with that build, and it was so fun. Also, Death Sentry rocks even at level 1.
Quick question, how are some of the stats calculated? Seems like all the %'s are added? What about block rate? Is it whatever you see on your shield, is what you get? These are all the questions that bug me.
With holy shield, I get 75%, so I shouldn't put another point into dexterity right? Yet I see some Hammerdin guides need 70-100 pts in dexterity to reach 75%, yet I only have ~55. I guess different shields, different block rates?
Today my Hammerdin finally started to be semi-useful. Some kind folk on public gave me a kickass shield compared to my old one, with +1 to paladin skills. I cried for joy. I finished maxing out BH and Conc, and now working on filling up blessed aim and vigor (should this be done simultaneously with cause of diminishing returns, or max one, then the other)

Different shields have different block rates, bonuses on the shield can effect block rates, and the amount of dexterity you need is dependent on your level.

After much nagging from Fightest and upon him giving me all his old stuff, I've created a hardcore Druid on US West. Account is the same (*theantipop) and his name is DrinkyMcGlug. Hopefully he'll live to see level 30. Anyone recommend a fun druid build?
I used to have a kickass Werewolf druid but who the hell knows if they're any good since I've seen 1 or 2 on my way to 75 on my sorc.
Speaking of stats, I'm worried on my trapasan. I've put 20 or so points into strength, and that hasn't been much of a problem, except for the weapon issue. Those claws require 60+ dex/str. Now, I've read you can buy +skill claws in hell difficulty from Act V. The same page said no points into dex and yet recommended getting one of these claws. I've checked in nightmare in Act V (not to hell yet), and while I've found +skill claws, I haven't seen one I can use with my dex.
Well, really, the page was a complete trapasan build, and looking at the dream equipment, there's only like 5 bonus points to dex from equipment.
Someone tell me I shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I don't know if I'm going to stick to west. I only made a char there because some other people said they were starting HC chars there but by the time I joined they were already in the 20s. I keep running into lag issues on west and that's about the last thing I want playing a hardcore character.
So I'll likely just stay on east with the minimal player count.

Reposting this. Anyone have any idea?
I'm assuming you're going Claw/Claw for the skill bonus. The most Dex you'll ever need as a pure Trapsin is 120, for the elite Battle Cestus. TBH, you might be better off simply paying a few pgems for +3 Trap claws, since that way you'll know beforehand how much you need. If you're going for a claw/shield hybrid of some sort, then you may want to bring Dex up to max block level, since you'd already be halfway there.
This is assuming, of course, that you don't socket a Hel rune or Jewel in them to lower the requirements. Obviously, most people will socket rainbow facets, but those are insanely expensive, so I wouldn't expect you to have something like that.
man im having a hoot with my light trapsin. It was slow going at first but just hit 24 and now im starting to see bodies hitting the floor. I fucking loathe act 3 and the long ass haul between waypoints. Got to travincal and now sleep calls.

I'm glad I got quite a few USEasterners to Act 5. Though I wish I would have known the trick to rushing people in act 3:
Bring them with you to the Council, kill the entire Council, and then they can port to the last way point. This stops you from having to do the stupid flail quest.

Finally met up with the USEast crowd. Fun times were had and I went from zero to Duriel tonight. Same time, same place tomorrow?
I wish I could be on for as long tomorrow, but I have class till about 9ish. So I'll be back online at maybe 9:30pm. I'll help you get to act 5 Ice Burner. I'd have done it tonight, but I started getting really tired.

Incidentally I have no idea which character was who thanks to my superpower of having a hard time with names and how I just barely keep up with D2's speed. My awesome latency of "stop for 10 seconds every 5 seconds" made it an extra-interesting session as well.

Yeah, they're pretty great. A lot of mobs will flat out waste you until you get dragon tail so you gotta use burst of speed and cloak of shadows and just try to get those charges and then release them to thin the crowd.
On any given encounter with my Tiger Strike / Dragon Tail assassin, I have to do all this: re-cast burst of speed and venom, double-check if my shadow master is still alive, switch to the charge up skill I want and switch my right click skill back to dragon tail. I will frequently have to switch to cloak of shadows and mind blast for mob control, and I also have three hotkeys to change charges, and typically mix tiger and cobra strike before releasing. A level 3 pheonix is good for mob control too since it freezes everything.

I think I'm gonna park my Necro at Act 3 Nightmare and wait for the group near the end of normal to catch up. I had a lot of fun running MF Meph runs today with the sorc. We got a Shaftstop, our only good find, but I think we're gonna trade for a Skullder's and build up the MF number a bit. Our little portfolio is set to grow wonderfully.

Just a small warning on Dragon Tail: It's nigh-useless in Hell, even when charged up with Tiger Strike and wearing upgraded Gore Riders. Fire resistance is a bitch. You can rip your way through Normal and Nightmare easily enough, but Dragon Tail in Hell is absolutely underwhelming.

In panm, Act 2 with my necro if anyone wants to join.
I see you are on east. Good choice. I don't have anything like that right now but i'll keep an eye on sorc stuff that may drop.
