Why is it that everyone that wants to make it known that I and my posts are the worst thing the planet has ever seen has at least one friend code in their sig?
I think you suck hairy elephant balls. Hmmm...look at my sig.

It could have something to do with the fact that, while you're posts are indeed horrible, they're focused on Nintendo. Therefore your target audience tends to have some sort of connection to Nintendo.

No they aren't. I guess you'd think that if you read mostly Nintendo threads, though.
why is it so hard to enjoy something while recognizing its flaws
I love brawl, SSE is a pain in the ass, some of the stages suck (New Pork City), the online is terrible, it's very similar to melee, and the button mashing thing is indeed a factor in anything that is not one on one. If you doubt it, you have not used pikachu in a free for all.

but I own it, and do not regret the fact.
because I am in possession of common sense.
I think it's because if you mention the flaws and then get into an argument with a certain person that likes to 'abuse' said flaws, that's all anyone ever sees from there on out.
Kuribo is 100% right, in fact it is so bad I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned in Yahtzee's review at all -- actually, it probably was. He was probably referencing New Pork City when talking about how the camera zooms out and you can't see shit, cause hey, that's New Pork City.

The problem is that these flaws are, well, minor, however many people treat them as game-breaking horrible things. They argue that these flaws ruin the entire game, meanwhile the people who actually enjoy the game are confused, they just sort of glossed over the flaws because they were too busy having fun.
That's why I don't like Zero Punctuation, because that's it's M.O, it's all it does for every game.

i found this review pretty entertaining, as i often find zero punctuation reviews. and i like smash bros brawl. madness i know.
i think games that have a big local multiplayer element should at least have a code to unlock everything for the multiplayer side of things, its a pain in the ass to have to unlock everything before you can get down with your friends or whatever.

I highly doubt it's meant to be taken seriously, though. It's just a guy spouting off snark about video games. He even talks shit about games he enjoys. If he gave a completely glowing review, nobody would like it.

I sure hope there's IG in the next SSB.
Fuck Guardsman left-right B plasma.
It can sometimes throw people further than a smash attack if used repeatedly.
I don't know what would stop these kinds of things from happening every week.
Maybe if he only reviewed absolutely terrible, zero-redeeming-quality-games all the time or put a big "FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY" disclaimer right at the start.

CoD4's review was almost universally positive. He mentioned a few flaws, but most of the review seemed to be about everything he loved about the game. I was sure people liked that review.
His videos are far too geared towards entertainment and subjectivity to be considered a half decent review. I guess you're lucky if your interests directly mirror his, because that's the driving force behind his critiques -- his own personal interests. Hell, two of the four minutes from his most recent video was him complaining that he doesn't much care for fighting games since you can button mash. Anyone who takes this as an honest to god knock against Smash Brothers is objectively an idiot, but it's a concept that's fucking funny when paired with minimalistic drawings and puns delivered with an english accent.

People tried this earlier in the thread and got flamed to to hell and back for being fanboys or not understanding or something stupid. The whole thing was retarded. Then for a while it was just a bunch of people posting nonsense, and now Pata is here leading the Nintendo brigade to glorious victory over the unwashed troll masses.
So, on SSB:B online: is it improving? Can it improve (with more servers) or is it just coded badly or requires port forwarding that most people won't do?
Because I'm finally getting a Wii bundle and I'm deciding whether to get Kart or Brawl. I'm still not clear on whether Brawl had bad hiccups at the beginning or whether it's still fundamentally broken.

It's heavily dependent on individual connections. I've have matches that were 100% lag free, and other times I've had laggy messes.

I've had games that are laggy and games that aren't with the same person. In Brasil.
But people seem very happy with Kart's online. I know no one out there has both at the moment, I'm just curious about how there's such a big difference -- either in reality or in the way that i hear the two games discussed.

It works pretty well. If you have a shit connection, then lag is lag. Smash is not an FPS or racer, so it has to be run frame-by-frame synchronously, so you're pretty screwed if you're far away from someone.
I have no idea about With Anyone. Supposedly that's still awful. But with friends is ok.
Nintendo outright refuses to make an online interface with decent chat or lobby capabilities (sup Metroid Prime: Hunters), and you can't queue a join request or spectate. That means you can only join games if they're in character selection step (which usually lasts about half a second, so there's little chance joining a group already formed) so expect to need a separate communication medium most of the time to set up games.
At least there's an add friend code button and a very basic room system.

Yay, the chain is broken!
hahaha
And not even well.

Except for how it reminded me about how I can't wait for Brawl to release over here.
NO FUCK YOU

When you're dealing with Nintendo and its fans, doing something well isn't exactly a necessity. They freak out regardless.
But I still take offense at the trolling accusations! Everyone just hates me and it makes me feel bad.

This is exactly what I'm talking about with the "not well" thing. If you were any more transparent I could poke a hole through your posts.
Or suffocate a little kid with them. Whichever.

*cough*portal*cough*
It's fun to torment my brother with it via P.K Thunder spam.
But yeah, anything other then 4vs4 with items set to the highest, New Pork City is way too big.

dream a little dream or you could live a little dream
sleep forever if you wish to be a dreamer
I can't hate Jungle Falls if only for the sheer comedy value of me dying to the same spike 4 times in a row.
haha ok, I'll give you that, especially since it's always the other players who do this.
edit: ARGH I forgot I don't have the DK Rap. It would make it so worth it. Fuck.

And that's why sane people stopped posting.
It's times like this I wish we still had the eye roll smiliey.
Because things like this are what it was made for.
I'm so sorry that the current batch of idiots are trolling Nintendo.
If they were doing it with anything else I'd be doing the same.
If you roll your eyes hard enough IRL, we'll feel your sarcastic displeasure from whence we sit.
Good show sir, good show indeed.

AT LEAST IT'S NOT MARIO KART DS.
