@Heracross vs Jynx:
Consider that the most common Jynx set is a subbing CMer with Lovely Kiss. If Heracross attempted to switch in to deal with Jynx, Jynx could get a substitute up and either put Hera to sleep if the sleep clause wasn't activated, or just get a free hit. That sort of Jynx usually carries Ice Beam over Psychic, however.
Jynx is a pretty good Poke, actually. One of the strongest UUs for sure, Stealth Rock just kinda kills it. Also, it's fugly.
As expected my gamestop was not sent a pokemon distributing mechanism, so I'm off to the 2nd nearest one in the next town, where they allegedly did get one. Good times.

Got mine, same easy process as Toys R Us. The first one was Careful, which I just took since I didn't feel like standing around in a GameStop resetting for a Pokemon I'll most likely never use. Even so, at least it's -Attack, which Deoxys doesn't use anyway outside of Extremespeed.
Actually, lots of Deoxys in the Uber tier run a mixed set, just so they can crush Blissey with Superpower. That having been said though, Careful is a good nature if you're going for the defensive Deoxys form.
I didn't get a chance to get out today, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow for my shot at Deoxys.
Well, it sure was nice of Halley to trade me her Pikachu, that while being Jolly, is also male, knows T-bolt and Grass Knot, and is Mischevious. It was most handy.

Amusingly I will have to venture out and catch some random Pokemon to use as trade fodder. My boxes are mere shadows of their former glory, while my Ranch teems with life.
I really need to get ranch. My boxes are almost at capacity; I have about ten full boxes of breeding waste products, one box of unhatched eggs, one box of Dittos, one box of EV trained pokes, and four boxes of random stuff. Yes, I have ONE box left. bleh.
I gotta get a few more coins but it shouldn't take more than a half hour or so.
ARGH. Sorry, but it looks like it will be some time before I can trade anything right now. My once trusty wifi dongle decided to revolt, it seems. What's most frustrating is that following the directions on the Nintendo website took forever, and were on the verge of apparently working, until my computer took it upon itself to try to find the drivers for the 'new' device on its own. So I'm leaving it alone until I no longer wish to smash my stupid computer.
And I still don't know why it decided to stop working in the first place, either.
Well guys, I have a problem. I'd like to get Pokemon Ranch for my Wii so that I can store all my Pokes. However, my friends don't really know that I play Pokemon. Also, back when Red/Blue came out I was really into Pokemon, and I'm afraid that my parents or sister will somehow find out that I've picked the game up again and be scared.
Eh, if people express amusement at the fact that you play Pokemon, ramble for a few minutes on the subtle complexities of battling and team building and they will back down just to make you shut up. Works every time.

I can't help him there either. Apparently being female makes me immune to being ridiculed by my family for playing Pokemon (it helps that almost everyone in my immediate family is a gamer anyway). My friends did tease me a bit when I bought that Drifloon figure, but that was more of a 'haha, you bought a toy' thing.
If its really an issue, try the moving the channel idea. Otherwise just shrug and say it was only ten bucks if they do bother you. Unless they have a grudge against pocket monsters, I don't see it being a big deal.
