I just got a email saying nyko has their wireless nunchuck on sale. I was wondering if anyone has purchased one or have tried it out at any shows. I consider getting one, but would like some feedback before forking over my mula.

I know i should put something clever here, but won't the charm go away after a few posts?

WEIRD. Kind of cool though. I want a pink one.

I wonder if the added heft on both the wiimote and nunchuck would bug me.

I think I'll stick with wired ultimately but still, good idea nyko, good idea.

I see a few problems with this:
A: I already have 4 nunchucks. (Yes, they have the wireless adapter for them, but that leads to the next few problems)
B: The connector gets in the way of the sleeves as it wants to go pretty much flush with the wiimote so far as I can tell.
C: Can't charge batteries with Nyko's own docking station with wireless adapter connected.
D : Uses AAAs, not AAs so now I need 2 types of batteries for my Wii.
E: Price compared to $20? I don't see that cord as that much of an issue.

Otherwise, awesome idea, just not for me.

I would consider getting one if it was actually made by Nintendo, I have a very poor history with 3rd party controllers and now avoid them like the plague

Hopefully nyko comes out with some kind of charging solution for the nunchucks then I'll definitly get one, which they probably are but who knows.

I mean, the real plus would be with games where you really end up flailing around and don't want to end up yanking the cord. In particular I'm thinking of DDR: Hottest Party, maybe boxing, stuff like that.

I'd almost consider having one or two around 'just in case' for crap like that.

And I don't use sleeves so eh. AAAs though, didn't catch that, good for weight but new batteries, meh

Does one HAVE to use the Wiimote/Nunchuck with Hottest Party? I want to buy it for DDR on Wii, and 4 people DDR, but I do not want to have to flail arms while I play.

:/ I saw the thread title and came in here expecting weaponry. I'm disappointed.

Nah I think it's an option from what I heard.

No, not at all. The way the options are handled is really stupid and you have to reset it to 'off' every time you boot the game again but yeah. We usually leave them off. But honestly they're not too bad.

I'm told it's kind of a weak DDR installment but we had fun with it, I haven't owned a home version before.

Both good and bad but it uses wired GC mats.

Sorry to derail further, but yeah, I was disappointed at the wireless mats. I was hoping for a nunchuck-like plug for the wiimotes at the top to make them wireless. Hopefully this will be fixed in the future.

Anyway, on wireless nunchucks, pretty cool, but a bit late. I'm hoping they devise something like the charging station that allows for charging the wiimote with the nunchuck adapter in it, and the nunchucks themselves at the same time. Just in case I go this route in the future.

It's a great idea, and I'd be all over it... but it costs $35? eh... hm.... that's cause for hesitation right there.

I may end up getting on in the future. maaaaybe.
