I wouldn't use sesame oil to cook with. It is more a seasoning.
Yeah, vegetable oil is probably the default unless you're going for something specifically Asian.
Olive oil is better for you.
And tastier. There are times where I'll just do noodles, some olive oil, and varied seasonings and spices for an entire meal.
Depends on the dish. Not everything goes well with olive oil. Japanese stir-fry, for example, tastes all funky that way.
What's the difference between Japanese and Chinese stir-fry?
Ahunno, I just listen to my friend who is doing his Fulbright right now on Japanese cuisine. He's a foody, so I tend to trust his analysis.
But as a rule, Japanese stir-fries would typically be much more bland than Chinese, meaning that the difference between using sesame/olive/vegetable oil would be easier to notice. One of my Japanese language teachers was also a chef, and he brought this up one day in class.
Zimmydoom, Zimmydoom
Flew away in a balloon
Had sex with polar bears
While sitting in a reclining chair
Now there are Zim-Bear hybrids
Running around and clawing eyelids
Watch out, a Zim-Bear is about to have sex with yooooooou!
Alright, this is weird. It's saying I need to install DirectX 3a. I did what it says, but either it isn't installing or this is what the guy meant when he said it wouldn't work on XP.
google up the fallout, you can make it work.
Tehre's some sort of patch if i recall that makes it work, also some programs that make your pc backward compatible.

I don't think I had any problems running fallout. That No Mutants Allowed site should help you out if you're having issues.

Sesame >> olive oil. For flavor. Olive oil is usually more practical for cooking because it's cheaper, and sesame oil has such strong flavor that you've gotta be sure you want people to go "Wow you cooked this in sesame oil" if you're going to use it as a cooking oil.
