Right now I'm multi-waving a dude with over a million gold. The dude had nine defenders, no phalanx, no ships. I've already gotten as much resources as I'm likely to (15 ships of wood and crystal) but I'm still getting 20k gold a hit.
Why do these people not enjoy the pleasures of seeing vast armies arrayed before them? Their own armies, I mean.
I'm blockaded by the BROtard. He's got land forces from the same island and a far island incoming. The new wuss guy has land guys coming by sea and a blockade that will arrive an hour too late.

Unless things have changed, blockades will fight each other? And the guy from the far island won't be able to get past the other guy's blockade?
I'm not 100% sure, I think Kalkino's been doing some research in regards to this.

Mith is starting to consistently pull ahead over the last couple of days. I'm happy just to be in the top three after languishing around 6/7 for the last few days.

Bah, Mith is only beating me because one of my cities is fairly useless currently. :P
After building the 5th colony, I have no clue what to work towards anymore. Between pillaging and my islands, I have more than enough resources to build up my colonies with.
If governor was implemented there would be more of an end game, but I'm beginning to lose interest in "Woohoo, that added 500 to my score."

I don't see how the people at the top got 70,000 points...
Hard work and dedication?
Oh and I've been pillaging my nieghbour, who went inactive a few days back, of course now he has gone active again and I await his response. I am not too worried about him (well, maybe his 20 flamethrowers sitting idly about in his capital next to my capital), but he does belong to KUN and I have no idea if they are the vengeful type of alliance or a bunch of powerful kittens
Finally won my first big fight. Attacked this guy I'd been skirmishing with at his capital city which was defended by 39 swordsmen and 4 slingers. Lost 10 swordsmen 2 phalanx and a cook taking his city. I am fairly curious why he defended it with swordsmen and no phalanx but eh.
I think we should do something about getting a formal alliance with BRO like Crazy Eddy has suggested - assuming that Dear Leader is not already doing this.
As a general policy position it couldn't hurt to have a couple of formal alliances.
On the Burning the World issue - please submit your ideas to myself for alliances to go to war with - preferably ones that we look able to beat easily. If you don't feel comfortable posting in here with names, say so in RUNDMAIL.

Hm. It would appear that the closer you get to the center of the map, the more people in large alliances you encounter. Damn.

james bond on crystal meth
James bond kills terrorists and murderers. If they are spies it is only coincidence.
Bond mostly fought hoodlums and cronies, though. Actual opposing spies were rare and, when they were there, he usually had hot British sex with them.
a sneaking suspecion.
Im trying to loot everyone on my island

From what I've gathered from reading this thread for the past couple weeks... You are
A> Soft and Squishy.
B> Have a city with a World of Warcraft (or other incredibly stupid sourced) name.
C> Squishy and Soft.
PSN: Dyvion -- Eternal: Dyvion+9393 -- Genshin Impact: Dyvion
Why don't people build defenses?
With just a fraction of that gold he was hording, he could have a bunch of phalanx.
But nooooooooooo.
King Theotakas is making a public service announcement ikariam:
your. not. safe.

Yea and verily; the "Soft and Squishy" pretense for invasion is truly the greatest gift I had to offer our Ikariam alliance.
The newcomer has 24k military score... oh noes.
Holy crap I wish I could places to raid that give me returns like that
I cheer when I get over a few thousand gold

pick on the big guys, they seem to have very little common sense.
This made me laugh for all sorts of stupid reasons.
I dunno. Viewing myself as a dictator now.

Yes
Thats my best run I think. Not great on gold, but thanks anyways guy!
What's the cutoff for inactive deletion? Inactives are deleted, right?

This appears to be what happened.

Start a war with a small alliance
