I've managed to reach a 9.68 growth rating in my new city. Could probably have been about 11 if I hadn't had 8 hours of sleep just after I did my first town hall upgrade.
Yeah, I've been avoiding heading too far into the core for that same reason. I suspect the game mechanics settle people in the core, then start going to the periphery as the world begins to fill
Based on my experiences in delta, you are correct sir. In fact, the islands are all numbered, starting from 1 at [50:50] and then spiraling out from there. The initial colonies are plopped onto the islands in order.
Edit: OP and map updated; all NPAX info is current and accurate, to the best of my knowledge. Also updated NPAX internal page with current links to all colonies.

Thank you for your hard work.
I'd send you a gift, but all 38 of my ships are busy hauling donations for my palace.
Just started out and am working my way through wine press atm and gthen going to switgch over to military and seafaring. But I noticed a guy on my island (80:87) has a score of 3150, 290k gold score, but only a 158 military score so it seems it could be someone t pick off if any of you are in the position to do so.

Ahahahahahahahaha.
I've raided that guy several times over the past few weeks. He's a good target, once you build up your military.
Mith is starting to consistently pull ahead over the last couple of days. I'm happy just to be in the top three after languishing around 6/7 for the last few days.
Hell, I'm happy to be in the top ten after being stuck at 17000 for almost a week!
I think that hitting marksmen, and shortly hitting steam giants will do wonders for pumping score up. Having 5 academies going full bore does wonders for getting research over fast!
I was talking with one of the guys in the map center, and he was saying that many of them have 6 cities (at L20), and all the (useful) research completed...which is probably the reason for the ridiculous scores.
Select the town you want to trade to, and hit the island button up top - then, use the drop down box to choose the island you want to trade from... hit the town you're trading to, and choose "Transport Goods" to get to a slider that'll let you... uhm... transport goods.
Alternatively, you can go to your town's Trading Port, and there should be a list of the other colonies in your empire - clicking this link will bring you to the transport goods slider screen, as well.
Do I need to upgrade my embassy to make cultural treaties? I guess I'll find out.
No, embassy levels don't effect the # of dong exchanges you can have.
Once you have one open museum spot, spam as many people as possible with offers, as you can build up an excess (particularly useful when pumping museum levels at a new colony).
Also, send me a dong exchange request as well, please...I am always looking for more!

If "many" means 4, then they are correct. Only Bosco, Tarl, Arf10, and Nefarion Xid have 6 cities. :P The #1 person only has 5 cities but 4 of them are size 21. (Data valid as of yesterday) :winky:

So basically he was trying to hit on me with his wild stories of city size.

so i'm finally making the foray into upgrading my palace for a 3rd colony (goddamn warehouse upgrades and pillaging aplenty).
currently my city order has been wine (cap), crystal (col), marble (col).
What should I use for my 4th colony? Should I go for another sulfur to round out my resources? Or another marble because EVERYTHING NEEDS MARBLE. or perhaps, well, crystal because military upgrades are sexy, also it sells pretty well. it seems sulfur is relatively easy to come across (much thanks to those who donated), but military units on demand are also equally as effective.

I went marble and still needed more so went for a 3rd marble, and still need more.
ah okay, thanks. also i notice you guys keep talking about how such and such has a level 3 or level 4 trading port. i don't recall seeing the levels of structures under mission options for spies. how did you guys figure that out?

Yeah, don't feel bad. I've been pillaging since I started and didn't figure this out. (started on sulfur). This is going to make picking targets a hell of a lot easier...

None of you felt the inclination to either click on the city itself when viewing it or click the city name in your hideout?
you know i felt the inclination to do so, but when i clicked it, it didn't load immediately and i just decided to check on my cities again. I thought boy this would have been useful to have them show the city while my spy was in there.

Click on the port in the city you want the goods to come from. Click on the name of the city you want it to go to. Choose amount. Send. Wait.

If you have a military treaty with them.
No idea.

Send me a dong.

Thanks guys, I thought I'd tried this but I guess I was wrong.

"Hey baby, I've got 6 L20 cities. How YOU doin'?"
Oh yes, let me see your marble!
What's his player name?
If only my dong were in such high demand in real life.
edit: the dongs have made my people euphoric!
You have to have free museum slots open to pass out dongs.

Edit: Also, what is this nine days for research bullshit? I need to learn how to fly NOW, damn it!

Mouseover it.
EDIT: OH WAIT, FOUND IT. You know I didn't think I could directly look at their cities. Oh man. 200 pillages and now I figure this out.
And I still do (1 now, was 3), all i can offer is Handel..... kultur doesn't show up.
Then you probably already have culture agreements with the people you are attempting to form a treaty with.
While your spy is in the city, you can see the city view. Click the city then mouseover the trade port to see the level. There is no mission for it.
edit: damn your editing! Yea its not intuitive. The whole ui sucks imo.

I can honestly say I never have.
I hang my head in shame...
