I just bought a second copy of the game off jb hi fi because I JUST CANNOT WAIT FOR A WEEK FOR THE GAME TO SHIP FROM HONG KONG. I figured once i get my uncensored copy i will just sell this one or return it for store credit or whatever.
One major fucking problem is that I keep on thinking that I'm missing a lot of stuffs that are censored on the Aussie version. It's like i feel that most of the scenes are uncomplete even though probably none of them have actually been censored. It's censor paranoia ffs.
I NEED to know what the fuck has been censored.
From what I understand, only a single scene was censored, and you're not missing much.

So now that I finally am playing the game does it make me a bad person for not being overly impressed, no scratch that actually fairly disappointed with the graphics? I mean I'm enjoying the gameplay (the rough hour I've played so far) and the little details are nice, but as a whole the graphics are very blurry, fuzzy/grainy and washed out even right in front of you which I know was done on purpose but.. bleh. I guess I just got too hyped.
I am far, far more impressed with the animations, the Ai interactions, the complexity of the buildings and architecture and the way its all come together to create the city itself. However then I stop think and realise that all those pedestrians and animations and polygons are simultaneously existing with almost top of the line graphics and I'm just blown away. It's not the best of the best but that's because they left some room to process other stuff. And I'm glad they did.
Of course I fully agree on every other aspect of the game except for the overall graphics presentation.
You can't have both. There isn't enough flour to bake that big of a cake. There never will be. So choose which one you prefer because it will always be that way while processing power is finite. Once you have chosen, let the other one go. There's nothing you can do for him.
We'll see what Saints Row 2 and Prototype have to offer.
Went to a midnight launch at a futureshop near my place. Showed up at about 11:45, got home with a copy by about 12:30. Great game. What really sucks though is that my friend was with me, got home, popped the disc in, and his xbox RRoD'd him. He was pretty pissed.

My guinea status allowed me to really get behind Tommy Vercetti much moreso than CJ or the mute from GTA3. I'd say so far (having not yet gotten ahold of GTAIV) that Vercetti is my favorite protagonist from the GTA series. From what everyone's saying about Niko, though, he seems to have won over the masses. Why the fuck is it 11 a.m. and not 5 p.m.?

You dont HAVE to find them to complete the game.
Whats great about the above is that the only effective way to actually find them. . .is to get out of your car and walk the city as you wont be able to hear the context clue inside a car revving it. These however are nothing new to the series and instead of having different categories of "collect the hiddens" its all one hidden that actually kinda works.
