I'm only posting it for creative reasons.

Seriously though, I could spend all day posting panels of Colossus coming back to life, Kitty being badass, Emma being badass, Cyclops being a badass, Wolverine being a wuss... loved Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men.

The most inadvertently hilarious thing about the first Astonishing hardback is that Joss Whedon's name is twice the size of any other next on the cover.

There was a cover for the first trade of the current Moon Knight series that had CHARLIE HUSTON so big it was basically half the cover. The other half was a plain picture of Moonie. It was kinda funny.

Marvel hardcovers tend to have two different styles of covers anymore. There's one that's a standard cover, and another, especially when the author is famous for something else, that is more like a standard novel cover.

I'm pretty sure the idea is that the ones with the authors name go to bookstores, where people are far more likely to give it a second glance if it's painfully obvious that it has a famous writer.

i was not ready for this
jason todd being beaten to death and exploded
    batgirl being crippled and everything
    supergirl dying or whatever
barracuda maybe shooting a baby-shaped object in what looks like the head
all of that pales in comparison to we3

I like to make sweeping assumptions on things based on as little information as possible . That being said, We3 appears to be nothing more than an attempt to make me cry and feel sad x 10billion exploding stars. Therefore I shall never investigate further this comic.

I buy all my trades off of Amazon.com, but really anywhere that sells books probably also sells trade paperbacks.

As I mentioned in the MOTW thread, I've been buying up trades off Amazon.ca at about 1/3 off.

Hell, my first set (4 of Preacher and 4 of Fables) just came in, only took about 2 weeks.
